As An Anxious Person!

The year is 2020! We celebrated its arrival with hope of a fresh start but instead of hitting the major weight gain goals we had planned we find ourselves, well stuck! Lockdown, confined in our small homes with our crazy families. Not the 2020 we dreamed about in 2019, So how do we keep a calm clear head during the lockdown?

Let’s just Be real for a second, No one is okay during this time! Your mental health will suffer but its important to realise your not alone in suffering, In fact the entire world is right there with you! So my first piece of advice if you are living alone or feeling alone, Reach out to social media. There are literally millions of people right now feeling the exact same way that you are! Eating and Drinking their way through lockdown, I am one of these people!

Nothing will be perfect, if you are a parent and trying to homeschool your children know that they are just as stressed and spooked about Covid 19 as the rest of us, little people have big feelings! its okay to blow of maths today and bake cookies, Just count the cookies after they are baked so your child isn't completly clueless by the time they go back to school.

If your feeling crappy and down leave the housework, there is no rush to get everything completely perfect, well unless you need clean pants then I would suggest you put a load of undies in! Set up a routine with the entire household, that way you limit the likeliness of a huge nuclear fall out! That is the last thing needed on lockdown.

Staying connected is a huge deal! There are a number of apps you can use to talk with friends and family, You can even set up quiz nights, fancy dress parties, bingo or just a good old fashioned chit chat!

Time, time is something we all complain about. “I haven't read that book I just don't have the time!” Now is the perfect opportunity to take the time for yourself and try that new hobby, read that book or just binge watch a load of Netflix series that everyone has been talking about for the past 5 years. You have nothing but time right now, whats stopping you? Sometimes this is when you realise time was never the problem after all.

Mediation and Yoga, I am a bit of a stress head. A pandemic is enough to spin me into an anxious mess, and it has! But a few videos of self care and meditation that I have found on YouTube has changed my world. Its made me so positive that I am here now sharing my experiences with you, I have never felt more motivated to do the things that I have always wanted to do! Look out world Nicolee is feeling inspired.

Walking is the new travel, I have seen more of my home town over the past five weeks than I have in eight years! It has been incredible to have the time to explore, and not have to rush home to go to work. The increased amount of people actually going out and getting exercise has got to be a massive positive to come from this, after all obesity and illnesses go hand in hand. Who knows the effects this will have on our healthcare in a few years time.

Get creative, The bulb was created out of necessity. Need is the best driving force behind a creative mind, now is the perfect time to create anything! Building a brand, website, designing clothes, creating furniture, Videos. There are millions of people on the internet every day, Now is the best time to be seen and build your brand.

Let’s also remember that our homes are not prisons, we are safe here. Find comfort in knowing that your families are protecting themselves and others by staying at home where all your personal possessions are. There are people who are less fortunate and finding themselves on the streets during this scary unsettling time, We really are the lucky ones.
