How to Bounce Back and Be Even More Energized

How to Recover after Failing - 3 Simple Tips

When you map out a life plan, you instinctively know that things are not going to work out exactly like you planned. Life just doesn’t work like that and there are bound to be disappointments along the way. When this happens, there seems to be two distinct ways in which people deal with it. Some of us mope around for a couple of days before we get back on track. Others seem to bounce right back to take up the task, even more energized than before.

How do they do it? From what I can tell, people who are good at recovering are good at failing. This may sound wrong, but just think about it. Successful people are people who take chances. And the more chances you take, the more you are going to fail sometimes. Society sometimes pressures us into thinking that we are failures every time we don’t succeed. But the truth is that there are likely going to be many failures in achieving a few successes.

This is the reason successful people can bounce back so quickly after a setback. I have also experienced setbacks on the road to success in my business. Below I describe three tips on how to bounce back after a brutal fall.

We use ancient recipes that have been around for hundreds of years and bring them into the 21st century! Our formulas are derived from simple yet effective nutrients that were used in ancient civilizations to enhance appearance and produce visible effects.

1. It is all about how you think about it

The old mindset makes us think that when you start something, there are two outcomes, success or failure. We see it as a fork in the road. The one leads to success while the other leads to failure. Successful people only see one road and at the end of that road is success. There might be failures in between, but it is still only one road with only one possible outcome. It is much easier to bounce back if you see failure as a hurdle, rather than as an outcome.

2. Don’t be afraid to fail often

We should of course always strive for perfection in our personal and professional lives, but you are in for a world of misery if you think this is achievable. With such a mindset, you become so afraid of failure that you play it too safe. As the old wisdom goes, those who never fail have never tried to achieve something new. If you make many mistakes, perhaps that is a clue that you are doing something really difficult – something worth achieving. Thomas Edison famously made 100s of defective light bulbs before finally succeeding.

"I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed." Michael Jordan.

3. Build your stamina

It is natural to feel deflated when we fail, but studies have shown that people who experience the same thing repeatedly become increasingly good at dealing with it. If you decide to embark on a difficult challenge, you know that there may be more failures than usual, but this should be seen an opportunity to learn from additional failures.

Failures are not only useful because you start to understand what doesn’t work. They are also useful because they help you build your resilience. If you do this often enough, you won’t fear failure anymore, because you will see it as a learning opportunity as well as an opportunity to build your character.
