How I Made My First $500 on Fiverr

If You Want to Start Fiverr, This is the Guide You Should Read. Make Money Online by Using Your Brain and Your Time!

Most people know Fiverr by this point, but the opinions about it are a bit fragmented.

Some people say it’s amazing, while others say it’s too crowded and they can’t make it there.

Well, I love Fiverr and it’s one of my income streams.

I have a pretty good account there and I made my first $500 quite quickly, but I planned a lot for it.

Here’s how you can get to those first $500 in sales in the same way I was able to do it — from scratch and just by using your head.

Time to Sign-Up and Research What Sellers Are Doing:

The first thing you need to do is sign-up — of course.

This is the easy part, you will only need to create an account and then you’ll be given your dashboard as a seller and as a buyer.

The first moments on Fiverr are exciting, but before you get on to the seller part, you need to do research.

Go through all of the categories and see what are people selling now, and what’s “meta”.

What are the gigs that pop out the most?

What is the algorithm now promoting?

After you do this, consider this:

What are you good at doing?

What requires the least effort from you?

What is easily scalable?

The rule of thumb is that to profit from Fiverr, you choose easy stuff, consume no time, and are scalable.

I’ll tell you how I did it:

I started an “I will name your company” Gig.

I started an “I will create your company tagline” Gig.

…and finally:

“I will create a logo for your company” Gig

The first two ones are pretty easy and scalable.

I just opened up a Google Doc and created a lot of different slogans I could easily change and adapt to different industries.

I had a list of, like, 150, and each time I had an order I just went and adapted them in like 20 secs.

I delivered 10 slogans per order.

Then, for the company names, I would just Google “Company Name Generator” and use one of the results that would come up, mix and match, and that’s it.

I delivered 5 Company names per gig.

Now here’s the kicker:

The Logo gig was a crowd caller.

I was offering logos for $5, but they were simply Logos I would download from Free Vector websites and change or add the name.

Sure, this isn’t optimal, but for $5 what would they want?

That called thousands of people to my profile.

Eventually, when I made my first $500 and my account was solid and getting tons of orders, I stopped the logo gig altogether and did the easy ones only.

Now, I delegate them to a VA, pretty easy stuff.

Benchmark the Winners: Take Everything

But it’s not as simple as creating gigs and waiting.

You need to properly market them, and in Fiverr marketing is done by having killer payment packages and killer descriptions.

Luckily for you, Fiverr’s search allows you to see the “Top Dogs” in your niche and spy on what they’re doing pretty easily.

Again, I opened up a Google Doc, or three — one for each gig — and pasted all of the top competitor gigs’ descriptions into each file.

Then, I rewrote them and made the descriptions even better — and that was the secret that lead me to be found in the beginning.

Give them nothing, take from them everything, as King Leonidas would say.

Low Time Consumption: High Scalability

So, the key here was to be extra careful to ensure my time wasn’t being compromised.

You don’t want to take time making $5 gigs — and when you start, you should ask for more than $5.

Ensure your gigs are easy to do, don’t take time, and are scalable to dozens of orders per day, hundreds per week.

Think about your skills, your edge, and what can you do that sells and yet takes no time.

Implement it!

Laugh like a maniac once the dough starts rolling in!

Evolving in Fiverr Brings You Extra Profits

Of course, as you rack up those reviews and start, you get to level up in your “seller level”.

This brings you a lot more money-making opportunities, like new room for packages, bigger opportunities to charge for more, benefits to your FEO — Fiverr Engine Optimization — and more!

The main thing is that it will allow you to create even more gigs.

I created a few more easy gigs that were quite a success, like:

Your name on…

There are a lot of websites you can use to put names on stuff, search around for Mock Up sites.

The only limiting factor to how many gigs you can have at higher levels is your creativity.

Congratulations, You Made It! Create Another Income Stream:

Congratulations!

You made your first $500 and managed to go up in levels, you can now either scale this operation harder… or create another income stream.

Whatever you decide, you’re better off now than when you started, and you know that on the Internet, efforts compound.

Life will never be as hard as before, as you not only have a trickle of income you didn’t have, but an opportunity to scale on top of the table.
