How Dropping Out of College Change My Life Forever
The Unexpected Path That Led Me to Discover My True Passion and Purpose

I’m not someone who always knew what I wanted in life. For many years, I felt like I was just going with the flow, not really knowing where I was headed. Like many others, I chose my college major without much consideration. There was no passion or greater purpose behind that decision. It just seemed like the “safe” choice, one that was accepted by those around me.
Oh, by the way, you can call me L. I decided to drop out of college, and that decision led me down an unexpected path, which I’ll share with you.
Life doesn’t always go as planned. The decision I made didn’t lead me to a life that felt alive; instead, it left me feeling more stuck in uncertainty.
When I decided to leave college, many people were confused and worried. I, myself, didn’t know what would happen next. But that decision turned out to open a much bigger door than I could have ever imagined.
It all started when I chose to major in mechanical engineering. Honestly, I didn’t have a clear reason for picking it. It was just a thought that popped into my head, and I made the decision without really considering other options. It felt like a safe path, but I didn’t truly understand what I wanted. Over time, I started feeling more and more trapped in a routine that wasn’t bringing me happiness.
The reason I ended up dropping out of college was my own stupidity, a mistake I made with no way of turning back. I can’t deny that this mistake is a part of who I am. But it was from that low point that I started thinking more clearly and decided to take a step that was more aligned with what I truly felt.
The desire to pursue something more meaningful ultimately pushed me to make a big decision: to leave college.
It wasn’t easy, and I often felt doubt. But it was in that uncertainty that I began to find my true self. Without following the path that had already been set for me, I was free to explore things I truly loved, like robotics, psychology, and technology.
It turns out that this decision helped me better understand who I am, what I want, and how I can make an impact on the world around me. I was no longer trapped by other people’s expectations or societal standards. I could make choices based on my own passions.
From this big decision, I learned a lot about myself. I learned that sometimes we have to walk through uncertainty to find the direction we truly want in life. The decision I made might seem like a failure to some, but it was precisely what helped me discover who i really am. Even though i'm still not sure if this is the right step, I believe that every move I make, no matter how small, brings me closer to my true purpose. Along the way, I've also started to be more patient with myself and accept imperfection as part of the journey.
However, even after going through a lot, I still feel like I haven’t made any real impact. I still wonder if the steps I’ve taken have been the right ones, if I’ve truly found my purpose in life. Is there more that I need to do to truly find the deeper meaning in this journey? Could there be something even bigger waiting for me that I haven’t realized yet?
What will happen next? Hmmm, I'm not sure either. I might rise, I might fall, or... well, I'll tell you about it later. Hehehe.
