The Best Things In Life Are Free Sunshine, songs of birds, the blue heavens, sunrise, the sea air, the field full of flowers, the wonders of nature, the magenta sunset, love, joy, peace of mind, the wonders of nature, the warm rain, the dew of the roses, the love of God, etc., are here for our enjoyment. Alfred Armand Montapert

The endless treasures in our lives are ones that money just cannot buy. These are the most amazing!

Life is grand and filled with treasures to be cherished and shared. The hug of a child when you are a little down. The wag of a dog’s tail as you come home at the end of a busy day. All free — all amazing treasures!

We all have precious gifts which bring joy and love into our hearts. Perhaps! The scent of the sea breeze. The sound of autumn leaves as we walk in our local park. The laughter of our children at play. Free and amazing gifts. Life would be empty without these treasures.

These incalculable treasures cannot be bought with money or stored in a safety deposit box. My treasure chest is open and keeps on filling, with simple pleasures. Each day adds to this chest — WOW! — am I blessed?

Be true to yourself, help others, make each day your masterpiece, make friendship a fine art, drink deeply from good books — especially the Bible, build a shelter against a rainy day, give thanks for your blessings and pray for guidance every day. John Wooden

I just find myself happy with the simple things. Appreciating the blessings God gave me. DMX

When I started counting my blessings, my whole life turned around. Willie Nelson

My neighbour has new kittens and I am allowed a cuddle. Priceless? Yes indeed! The smell of freshly mowed grass after a light shower of rain. Priceless? Yes indeed! I could go on forever. My life is indeed blessed with so many simple treasures and blessings.

And, huge — gigantic ones also which bring tears of joy at their memories. Being the ‘mother-of-the-groom’ at my son’s wedding. SCUBA diving on the Great Barrier Reef. Sailing with my husband and youngest son on Lake Macquarie at sunset. Such huge — gigantic treasures. Who am I to be so richly blessed???

Sure money could buy extra comforts, a more stylish car, perhaps. But mine gets me from A to B. Transports family and friends. What more do I need? I was taught our Lord, Jesus Christ only had one piece of clothing. So, why should I hunger for a wardrobe full?

Perhaps, you too have a treasure chest that contains small and gigantic blessings.

Things in your life that money just cannot buy. This treasure chest is being filled daily with many new blessings. Life is wonderful. Yes, you too are rich beyond measure!

Sure you have taken the necessary measures to ensure you and your loved ones are safe and have all the necessities in life. Find a comfy chair, sit yourself down and pause awhile. Yes, you too are rich beyond measure. Your treasure chest is full of blessings of things that money cannot buy. Treasures and blessings fill your heart and soul with love. Another treasure to be placed in your chest with tender loving care.

These small and gigantic treasures are what make life worth living. We know from the bottom of our hearts we are rich beyond words.

If the richest man in the world came up to me right now and offered me unlimited earthly riches in exchange for my youngest son. I would not hesitate for a moment. The answer would be a resounding NO! AND, How dare you even suggest such a thing! What a ….. Mark makes my heart and soul sing for joy. All the money in the world cannot come close to what Mark is worth to me and my family.

You too have a love for a person or people as strong as this. All the money in the world is not even a start to how much they are worth to you. Just thinking about this person gladdens your heart and fills your soul with joy!

There is more to these small and gigantic gifts.

They do help us feel better. And this in itself too is amazing! These amazing gifts strewn throughout our lives give us better health.

Simple as snuggling under a cosy blanket on a cold winter’s night, with a hot chocolate and a favourite book. Before, you know it you are floating off to dreamland. Another good night’s sleep. The next day waking up refreshed and ready for more blessings — more adventures!

Perhaps! Another simple — gift is when a friend is sharing a story that leaves you bent double with laughter. Tears of joy stream down your cheeks. The more your laugh-the more hilarious the tale becomes. Your ‘tummy’ is aching from fits of laughter. But, boy don’t you feel good? You could listen to this tale of happiness and hilarity forever. And your friend’s heart is full of gladness and love also. Another tremendous blessing to be stored in your chest.

Memory is the treasure house of the mind wherein the monuments thereof are kept and preserved. Thomas Fuller

My memories mean a lot to me, and I hold them close to my heart. Radhika Apte

All these treasures have an extra special gift. Nostalgia — our hearts and mind's greatest indulgence. Their ability to replay our life’s special moments. Again bringing joy, gladness, and love into our lives.

Mind-blowing gifts that life bestows on us all. Helping us to celebrate the little things. Such as the glistening of the myriad of colors of a butterfly’s wings as it flutters passed as I am raking the leaves in my garden. The spray reaches for the sky after splashing on the rocks at high tide on my favourite beach. The petals fall from a dandelion as I blow and make my secret wish. Countless little things which I remember and again celebrate. All the money in the world cannot buy such pleasures! I do not even want to think of life without such simple gifts.

Then there are such huge treasures which you and I are greedy for more of. All ‘the gold in China’ cannot buy — create more time with loved ones? We love the time with these oh! so very special somebody. But when it is time for them to leave — we wish for more time — more time to love them and to be loved by them.

We are greedy for more. Yet are grateful for the time together we have. Appreciating and acknowledging this precious time of love and sharing is free and amazing! A miracle, a gift, a treasure!

The simple treasure of happiness. What makes you happy is completely different from my idea of happiness. But what makes us both happy has something in common. What gives us happiness is probably completely free!

Perhaps! A dog playing ball on the beach and never tiring of bringing it back for another try. A friend told a hilarious tale, you have heard it a hundred times. But still, it is the funniest thing you have ever heard. Your small child eating ice cream and most of it ends up on his face and clothes. Life has endless treasures of happiness and laughter. What treasures — What gifts!

Love — the most treasured gift that money simply cannot buy.

Love which heals, unites and speaks to us like nothing else. Love is a commodity of the heart, soul and spirit. Love transcends all human words and understanding. Love so simple and yet so complex. No person on God’s earth can or wants to live without LOVE! The love of a parent for a child. Love shared by true friends. The love we have for a pet. The love we should all have for All life. Simply Love! Money cannot buy Love!

Time is too slow for those who wait, too swift for those who fear, too long for those who grieve, too short for those who rejoice, but for those who love, time is eternity. Henry Van Dyke

The most powerful weapon on earth is the human soul on fire. Ferninand Foch

Well, here we have it! The best things in life are truly free!

We would rather have treasures such as a loving family than all the money in the world. Our lives have memories of moments of small and gigantic blessings which we celebrate.

We have times when we feel we are the richest people in the world. Although our bank accounts maybe a little dry. Nostalgia is a welcome friend along the way. Bringing joy, gladness, and love.

Mind-blowing ecstasies gladden our hearts and souls when simple pleasures flutter in and out of view.

Love is a gift for the heart, soul, and spirit tying all these treasures together. Love unites us all as one! Simply put. Money cannot buy love!

I hope this simple story has evoked memories of all the things — simple and profound — in your life. Which all the money in the world simply cannot buy!
