Gaslighting the Divine

Whenever I see someone make the comment, “if there is a God, why does he let little children starve, or people suffer seemingly needlessly or a myriad of other comparisons and attempts to gaslight the Divine.

To put it simply, you cannot gaslight God and religious belief. You simply cannot. We, as humans, are not superior enough intellectually to do that. And that’s a tough lesson requiring putting your ego aside and impossible for many to grasp.

That said, we should look at ourselves when we attempt to understand the cruelties of the world. Starvation, violence against each other, the arrogance of intolerance, senseless disease and sickness, and ultimately the seeming inability to achieve peace.

Because you see, God gave mankind free will and free choice which mankind, and that includes all of us, has corrupted this beautiful world through ego and arrogant self-righteousness. Lack of peace is on mankind, not God. Starvation and poverty are on mankind, not God. Violence against each other is on us, not God. Hatred and intolerance are on us, not God. War and destruction are on us, not God. Illness is on mankind, not God. We have been given the sentient ability to address all of these issues in a loving, intelligent, and humble manner, but too often we choose egoistical free will over divine will (which is in all of us) and the resolution of these challenges made impossible through our own pride. And please don't smugly try to throw up Old Testament teachings of God's cruelty. All literary works have to be viewed in the context of the times they were written, and unless you are a Biblical scholar, you most likely have no clue about what you think the Bible means (but your ego will fight you tooth and nail trying to convince you that you are knowledgeable by the random passages you choose to cherry pick.

But Julie, you say, what about the little children that die and suffer seemingly needlessly? Certainly, they are not at fault. And you are correct, they are not at fault. So why? You ask. That is complex and will be the subject of a future article. So please don’t throw that at me until I finish writing my article on that and you will be free to address that then.

Quite simply, many illnesses can be prevented, but through mankind’s egoistical need to turn healthcare into a commercial commodity, we have become blind to the healing powers that have been given to us. Cancer can be cured and prevented. Heart disease can be cured and prevented. Diabetes can be cured and prevented. And so on. God has given us the resources and intelligence to do this, but instead we allow our egos (free will) to determine what and who can benefit. That is on us, not God. Quit blaming God for something we are responsible for. Illness is also tied in closely with Soul Contracts (which again, I will expound on in another article.)

God has provided everything each of us needs to survive and live a beautiful and vibrant life here on earth. We may not have access to what we want, and we cannot manifest anything God does not deem us to need (that is another fallacy of mankind’s ego and part of each individual soul contract). But it is on us to choose to follow Divine will or Free will. Our failure is on us. God has given us the knowledge and resources for life.

Too often, our ego and arrogance lead us to attempt to gaslight God using human level standards to try and explain his reasoning. There are so many things in the Universe that we do not understand and that we are not designed to understand. That is where surrender and faith come into being. Letting go of your free will and embracing the divine will inside of you is the first step in surrendering and having faith.

Lower vibrational humans attempt to mock faith because they feel they can go toe to toe with the Divine by proudly claiming he does exist. There are too many instances throughout history that prove them wrong. However, that said, that is their free will to feel that way, but that is not divine thinking and ultimately it causes more harm than good.

If you take nothing from this, please understand that the problems of this world are a mankind issue, not a God issue. We have the ability to eradicate so much of the pain on earth, but it is easier to whine and try to gaslight God and deny his existence rather than stepping up and doing the right thing. Mankind is not as clever as his ego leads him to believe.
