Flats designed by myself

I have a dream that is starting to become real, I'm a fashion designer, who is working on my latest clothing, and shoe brand, 'Beautifully Diverse'. A brand that includes people from all different backgrounds, regardless of what religion you worship, regardless of how many languages you speak, regardless of English being your second language, whether you love someone of the opposite gender or the same gender, or whether you are mixed-race like me or 100 percent of an ethnicity. We accept you for who you are, because you are beautiful, and diversity is beautiful, and that is you, and me.

Currently, the brand is a work in progress, which will be up, and running by the end of 2022. The plan is to take this brand globally, I started out as a fashion model, who has now been featured in five international magazines, across the USA, UK & in Australia, along with being nominated for People's Choice Award for Pretty Little Poser Model Magazine in the UK, and interviewed by FENIX360 in New York via zoom. I will be utilising magazines to showcase my fashion brand, in hope to reach out to a wider audience to expand the brand.

At Beautifully Diverse we want to make sure that you are included, from our HMUAs (Hair Make-up Artist) to our models, our photographers, and all our creative staff. By achieving this goal, every morning we shall begin the day on a positive reflection, followed by discussing our goals for the day. But what we won’t do, is talk about yesterday, because every day is a brand-new day for new opportunities, to move forward, and improve. Once the day is done, we’ll come together, and talk about the issues, solutions, and goals we have achieved, we will always end the day in a positive manner. At Beautifully Diverse, we will always start and end the day with positivity, because we want 'good vibes' only, regardless of what has happened or been said. Our motto is, 'make mistakes to create a better future'.

Another reason why I’ve created this brand, is because I want to encourage positive mental health within the fashion industry, as the fashion industry can sometimes be stressful. So, if you need time off work because of family emergencies, then tell us, if you’re having difficulties with anything, financially, educationally, whatever it may be, tell us. We are going to win as a team, as the animation film Lilo & Stitch said, 'Ohana means family, and family means, no one gets left behind or forgotten'. As the brand owner, I will always do my best to support all my colleagues, because without you, there's no brand. I will always do my best to see what is right for the brand, and to make sure all colleagues support one another. I want all colleagues to be successful in all areas of life, whether it's further education, relationships, friendships, dreams, goals, and ambitions not just in the workplace. Being a part of Beautifully Diverse means you are diverse across all areas of your life, you gain, and learn new skills from not only myself, but other people.

When you come to Beautifully Diverse, I don’t want us just to be a place of work, I want us to be a family. Of course, there will be differences in life experiences, in ages, in cultural backgrounds, religions, and opinions, but that’s what makes us Beautifully Diverse. It doesn’t matter if people have said negative things about you, whether it is your appearance, skin colour, disability, gender, religion, hair or accent. I want you, to rise above the negativity, I want you to embrace who you are, and encourage people to love who they are. I want you to stand up against any type of racism, and discrimination you come across. I want you to encourage people to believe that being beautifully diverse, is a beauty that the world needs. We at Beautifully Diverse want you to feel accepted, supported, encouraged, loved, and embrace who you are. We at Beautifully Diverse, will not tolerate any kind of mistreatment towards anyone of any race, religion or ethnicity.

We want you to embrace who you are, and encourage this change within our communities, we want you to lead by example, and stand up for cohesiveness, and inclusiveness. It doesn't matter which community you come from, LGBT, Muslim, Polynesian, African, Europe, the Caribbean, the Middle East, Asia or Indigenous. You are not forgotten, we want you, we need you, and your communities need you to represent you, yourself, and your identity. We want you to feel that you belong somewhere, and that you are important, but we can’t do it alone. We need your support, we need you to stand with us at Beautifully Diverse.

We want you to feel bold, just like these shoes I designed, bold, beautiful, and loved. You can forget negative opinions people have of you, especially if you have been a victim of discrimination, and racism, which I too, been a victim of. I want you to show everyone that you are beautiful, you are unique, you are strong, and you can achieve anything in your life, because you are beautifully unique. I want you to show people, and lead by example, that racism, and discrimination has no place within our communities. I want you to show people that racism, and discrimination is an opportunity to stand up for what is right, and to stand up for other people, who are victims. Stand up, and say, they are beautifully unique and diverse, and this is what our world needs.

So remember, you are beautiful, bold, smart, amazing, talented, flawless, and when you come to Beautifully Diverse, you will know that, you will own that, and more importantly you will feel that. Our differences can come together, our differences shape us to be who we are, and our differences make us unique, because we are Beautifully Diverse.
