Civilized Terrorist: How to discover yourself, internal peace and live a happy life unbothered by the society.

Civilized Terrorist is a self-help book written by Musaib Malik. The book is a guide to self-discovery, true happiness, and a care-free attitude towards negativity.

Self-awareness and knowledge about oneself form the very foundation of the book. Self-Knowledge is essential; it has various benefits from helping you find the right person to date to saving your precious time by aiding you in making choices that align with your self and true interests. We are taught the rules and regulations that the ancient people formulated with little discovery, little invention, and little knowledge, we need to unlearn those facts and information and learn the new rules that are backed up by 21 CE reasoning and knowledge.

An unpopular yet accurate idea about positivity is given in the book, that most may be uncomfortable with, asserting that positivity isn’t feeling right and high all the time but having the right kind of attitude towards life, mainly the low-moments that one tries to avoid through quick fixes. Positivity is looking down your ugliness and dark-stops, noticing and pointing out the beauty and elegance. It is a boring, dull, and mundane act but proves beneficial and fruitful in the end.

The book describes the important phase of one's life; childhood and highlights the key features of infancy that we as adults forget and neglect. The author shows how these natural skills and habits can help one excel ahead in life. Other problems faced by the teenagers in particular are addressed in the book, their impact and how to overcome, is beautifully prescribed within the book. Social media, that is ruining and destroying lives by comparing people with one another, spreading information that is harmful, distorting the definition of beauty, and making everyone a cry baby. The book gives a clear idea about the importance of a strong character, by citing to the qualities that elderly people had; effective communication skills, honesty, concern towards their neighbors, valued small things, and a strong character. The author then points out the big problem in today's generation doing majors in minors, explains how it's distracting people from the big picture.

Musaib Malik then writes about how to know more and have a receptive mind. He also puts light on the topics that the school has failed to teach us and the importance of personal values, accepting the failures, and having the right kind of attitude towards the failures.

The book gives a different idea about suffering, by telling the reader that it's okay to suffer and one should learn to suffer rather than avoiding. The issues that we have with life need to be solved with better understanding and proper strategy. The issues with parents, society, and other people have a huge impact on the abilities of a person, it shrinks down the growth of peace.

The final chapter is about self-love, its essence, and ways to perform self-love. In the end, we are all by ourselves, self-love is what we all need. The author gives the example of his friend who realized the importance of self-love after being cheated in a relationship. The author insists on the activities like; dating yourself, going on a walk with nobody but yourself, and improving oneself in every means possible.
