Own your story & your Life
YOU are in control of your life, today is not a dress rehearsal for your life or practice for a better day, it’s up to you to make this very day COUNT ! All 86,400 seconds of this day are part of your REAL life ! There is nothing more valuable on this earth than your time, it’s the most valuable form of currency you’ll ever own. And if you want to waste time or kill time or just pass the time, well please pass it my way, I’ll put it to good use, I can always use more time to fill up my cup for this day and everyday.
If you think your tired, or you can’t stand what you think is the boredom of your everyday life, remember there are children who woke up this morning in our country and smiled at the sunrise even though their in a hospital with terminal cancer. They are dying, and guess what, so are the rest of us. I’m not talking about the pandemic or any other serious illness, except maybe apathy for the very gift of life you woke up with this morning.
Be grateful every morning that you have the ability to move, to laugh, to love and to make a difference in this world TODAY. And also, whether your a teenager or in your later years, remind yourself that we are all in the same boat, we all are living and dying and the same time. Don’t waste your precious time today worrying about yesterday or tomorrow or a million other useless things that don’t affect your very life today. Your life matters in this world, don’t waste it gossiping or being jealous of others. Make your own path, the clock may be ticking, but the decisions you make today can slow that clock down, from what you eat, if you exercise or not, even in the kindness you show other people, but your in control of that clock and I promise you that your bigger than any problems you will ever face. But you must FACE them, do not turn away and run, or give others control over your life in the guise of “helping” you.
All their helping you do is to live a lesser life than you were born to live.
Life can be hard and unfair, but it’s that way for EVERYONE. It also can be joyful and loving and passionate and FUN. The greatest experiences of your life have yet to happen, and they NEVER will if you don’t get out of your comfort zone, or procrastinate because you think life dealt you a bad hand. Believe me, money is not the answer to your problems, but if you face your problems and defeat them one at a time, abundance ( in love, life, passion, and yes money) will certainly be a byproduct of your unyielding will to move forward when others choose to stand still. You will always learn and never lose and you will grow by facing your obstacles, not dreading them, you’ll become the undefeated champion over everything that seems to big or scary right now, and one day, by facing your obstacles, your obstacles will get out of your way when they see you coming. You have all the tools in the universe inside you to create yourself in any way YOU see fit. Either we are all superheroes or none of us are, either way, if you woke up breathing, walking, talking and moving this morning, nobody on earth has any more power than you, don’t give away your power on this day and be defeated before you’ve begun to anyone else’s perceived happiness or riches, you tend to yourself, I promise the gifts inside you are immeasurable and worth searching and fighting for, and many of those same people you think or so lucky or have a better position in life than you will look your way in awe as your gifts are uniquely yours, and your power cannot be measured unless you put your own feet to the fire and stretch not only your mind and body, but your spirit too, you’ll be astounded by what you can accomplish by just showing up for life everyday and doing what’s right for you, not what’s easiest in the moment of a particular day. Get rid of your doubt, you are the emperor of your own undiscovered kingdom, become the hunter, not the hunted.
Become the lender and not borrower, it’s truly all up to you. And don’t blame your circumstances, genetics, financial situation, parents, neighbors or friends or foes if your in an untenable situation. Don’t build the walls and iron bars of your own prison, but even if you have done that, the terrible irony is that YOU always had the keys to that prison door in your pocket the whole time, and still do. Whether your 17 or 70 years old it IS NEVER too late to take control of your ship, to change your life course for the better and beyond.
Don’t die and drag a mountain of regrets and dreams unrealized into the graveyard with you, full of things unsaid and undone. Don’t leave things unsaid and undone, go be honest, kind, strong and passionate snd courageous, let people see your spirit and character on the outside, let loose your true self. You were born limitless, don’t be afraid to put that to the test while you STILL CAN !! More often than not you just have to get out of your own damn way, throw doubts, limitations and the opinions of others aside and realize that you are both responsible for where you are, and where your GOING ! Don’t overthink it or waste time procrastinating, the best of you lies ahead of you,
Own your days, own your time and claim and own you’re whole damn LIFE and discover that your not just unstoppable but you are beyond limitless !! Discover the greatness that lies within you and let it ROAR !! And hopefully I’ll see you on that same shared path, both glorious and victorious, no matter where you are today, that path awaits you all.

The Power of Intermittent Fasting
I’ve been an Athlete most of my life running Cross Country and playing basketball up to the collegiate level, so I’ve been in pretty good shape as I grew older through my 30’s and 40’s, keeping active enough to maintain my body weight between 200 to 215 pounds at 6’2” tall . But when I was 49 years old, I suffered through an accident that left me bedridden and required a 14 hour operation to save my left arm, requiring 6 pins and screws to save my shoulder during that major reconstructive surgery, and most of the muscle in my front left deltoid was removed, this resulted in me being incapacitated for two months in which time my weight ballooned up to 280lbs not just because of the inactivity but also the many anti inflammatory and corticosteroids the were giving me to help heal, but I was aware that I was losing muscle and becoming, well to be honest, I was getting fat to the point that I could see some cellulite forming on my inner thighs. As I laid there I knew that this weight gain would kill me eventually if left unchecked, so I had the idea not to just follow any diet, but try to find the diet that people with unlimited funds and time were following, I thought this would be some sort of multi-million dollar secret, but I soon discovered it was not, it just was not well known yet. So I looked towards the movie stars who have created incredible transformations for a Movie role. And one common thread kept coming up, with access to the best trainers and dietitians in the world, Intermittent fasting was a common denominator among all these. stars, including Hugh Jackman (Wolverine) to Chris Pratt( Guardians of the Galaxy) to Chris Hemsworth ( Thor) to name just a few, and it’s not just for men, Halle Berry, Jennifer Aniston, Scarlett Johanssen, Reese Witherspoon and Giselle Bundchen all follow the Intermittent fasting program and swear by it. So let’s say I was more than a little intrigued by the fact that all these megastars were following the same dietary program, and after further research I discovered that this was not some million dollar secret, if anything it was going to be LESS expensive to follow than my normal diet. And as I excitedly planned my foray into the world of intermittent fasting, I discovered that it not only transformed your body, but also could extend your life (longevity), improve cognitive functioning and stave off cognitive decline, increases cell survival, enhances metabolism ( through better glucose and cholesterol maintenance) , increases mitochondrial functioning and thus energy production and increases brain derived neurotropic functioning, which also improves overall brain functioning. But first things first, I was heavy, I wanted not to be heavy anymore, and I’d think about the other benefits afterwards, so I planned a modest exercise program around my injuries, and started my intermittent fasting program, which at its core is a form of caloric restriction, followed by a period of overfeeding during the same day. So my program went like this, with the goal to increase the fasting period throughout the day, and the great thing about waking up to begin fasting is the fact that your sleep gives you 6 to 8 hours of fasting right out of the gate in the morning, and my first modest goal was to make it to 1:00 pm without eating (I did have one coffee, not regular sugar laden whipped cream coffee, lol, because that would of ended the fast, one Coffee, no sweetness, not a lot of calories, and without advertising it here, or getting off track, it’s called BP Coffee, abbreviated but I know a simple Google search will tell you all about it, some of the aforementioned stars also used it, so I included it in my program) So if I woke up at 7:00 am, and let’s say you slept 7 hours, if you made it to 1:00 pm that would be a 13 hour fast, and my ultimate goal was to make it to 5:00 pm.
