There’s a saying that, if you want to understand yourself, you should write.

But if you want to understand the world, you should read.

Are you the type of person that enjoys a good book? I would assume since you are reading this that you are.

But just in case you are not, here are some reasons why reading can revitalize and even enrich your life.

Reading can help sharpen your focus and concentration.

It can improve your understanding and recall of information.

Furthermore, reading can help expand your vocabulary and communication skills.

Amazing Statistics that will motivate you to read

● The researchers from the University of Toronto found that the participants were able to process information more efficiently and accept ambiguity more readily after reading fictional short stories.

● Studies have shown that those who earn more money also tend to read more. In contrast, only 70% of households that earn less than $30,000 a year reported reading at least one book a year.

● According to studies, people who read fiction tend to be more empathetic and emotionally intelligent than those who don't. As you already know, emotional intelligence is important in making friends and forming relationships.

What are some reasons to make reading a habit in your life?

There are literally thousands!

Here are several to satisfy you:

Reading is a great way to grow and develop in a number of ways.

When you read, you're exposed to new ideas and perspectives that can help you see the world in a new light.

Additionally, reading helps you develop your critical thinking skills.

Wouldn’t these be some wonderful traits to have?

Can you see how success could be easy by cultivating skills like these?

Reading helps you develop your own voice and perspective.

While reading, you encounter different points of view and learn to form your own opinions about the world.

Reading is a great way to learn and apply new concepts.

By reading, you can gain a deeper understanding of the material, and see how it is applied in different situations.

This can help you better understand and remember the concepts, and apply them to your own life and work.

There’s a saying that, knowledge is power. But we know that’s not entirely true.

APPLIED knowledge is power!

When you're reading about a new concept, it can be really helpful in understanding how it works and how YOU can apply it.

Reading is a great way to learn, and it can be really useful in helping you to understand new things.

You can use this knowledge to try out the concept for yourself and see how it can be applied in the real world.

Reading is a great way to enjoy new experiences.

It can help you learn about new cultures, gain new perspectives, and understand new concepts.

As you read, you are exposed to new ideas and ways of thinking.

This can help you become a more open-minded person and appreciate different ways of life.

One of the greatest things I thank my parents for is teaching me how to read.

It opened me up to so many new possibilities and places in life.

Reading can also help you find new hobbies and interests.

It can introduce you to new things that you may never have thought of before.

Do you realize now how reading is such a great way to broaden your horizons and enjoy new experiences?

In addition, reading develops your concentration and focus, which are essential for thinking effectively.

See how you can ascend by setting aside some time to read.

A little reading each day keeps the brain fog away, as your thinking and insights continue to improve.

You’ve heard how reading exposes you to new ideas and different ways of thinking.

But did you know that this can help you develop your own arguments?

Debatable, I know.

But, by reading, you’ll find new ways to support your positions.

In short, reading makes you a more informed and more articulate discussant.

Deign to design and improve your discussing power.

Reading can definitely help improve yourself in a ton of different ways.

It helps you learn new things and develop greater self-awareness. With new understanding comes new actions and results.

Whatever you do on a mental level will have an effect on a physical level and vice versa.

You will literally start to SEE yourself and your reality improving.

Additionally, reading can provide you with a needed break from the everyday grind.

Be sure to set some time aside each day to curl up with a good book!

7. Read to imagine

“Imagination is more important than knowledge.” ~Albert Einstein

When you read, you're constantly imagining the scenes and events taking place in the story.

Your mind is super busy building a picture to represent what you are reading.

Just like being in the gym, this strengthens your mental muscles.

The more you read, the better you'll become at imagining things.

Would it help to have more imagination?

Einstein surely thought so!

Reading can also help improve your ability to come up with new ideas.

This is because when you read, you are exposed to a lot of new information that can help stimulate your creativity.

Reading helps to improve your attention span and concentration.

In a world that is growing more and more distracted, reading is a godsend.

It’s like having a cheat code in a video game or virtual reality.

When you read, you're focused on the story, and not distracted by other things.

This will inevitably improve your imagination by making it easier for you to focus.

New ideas will flock to you easily when your mind is composed in this manner.

When is a good time to read?

ANYTIME!

Read to learn in the AM.

Read to learn in the PM.

Reading allows you to transcend reality and also bring it down do Earth.

It revitalizes your mind in so many profound ways.

In fact, had it not been for reading, I wouldn’t be where I am today.

Thanks for reading. I trust this encourages you to tap into the treasure trove of books.
