The benefits of meditation are positive and countless. Studies have shown that people who meditate regularly have fewer health problems, less stress, and less need for rest.

However, one of the most compelling reasons to meditate is the sublime nature of the meditation process itself. Meditation does not seek results, but the act of meditation itself is blissful and leads to a state of contentment and calm awareness, not at the end of the meditation, but during the practice of meditation. There is no beginning and no end to this practice because the means and the end are the same.

Nowadays we are constantly under stress. We are exposed to the uninvited energy of television, noise, quarrels, angry and envious people. To counteract this negative force and overwhelming suffering, we need a higher power to gather within us. Meditation connects us to a reservoir of inner energy that purifies and enlightens us.

In the past, nature was part of people's daily lives and existential rituals. There was no artificial noise from telephones and machines, no stress and diseases from the industrial complexes of the city. There was the sound of water, the wind, the beauty of the stars in the sky, and the smell of the earth.

The rhythm of nature was present in all aspects of life, and people planted seeds, grew them, ate them, and felt a connection to the seeds as they observed the cycles of nature. Today, we can spend our entire lives without direct contact with nature.

We live in artificially controlled climates, eat fast food and factory packaged products, and are completely disconnected from our natural origins and the original organic rhythms of life.

Meditation is a simple, convenient, and portable way to get in touch with the lost rhythms and aesthetics of nature by removing yourself from the outside world, relaxing your body, and freeing your mind from the artificial tensions you have consciously or unconsciously built up.

Meditation costs nothing, has no harmful side effects and adds neither calories nor cholesterol. But it gives the mediator a feeling of love, peace and happiness. And this feeling of well-being has a positive effect on health.

The human body is so complex that it naturally produces drugs in the brain that are hundreds of times more powerful than narcotics. During meditation, the body releases strange hormones and chemicals that can actually give you an incredible sense of energy and well-being. This is just one of the amazing side effects of meditation practice.

Meditation is different for everyone. Some people use it as an alternative to psychotherapy, others as a supplement. For others, it is more of a tool to improve athletic or job performance or to improve mental functions such as memory. For some people, it can help them overcome the aftermath of grief, trauma, or tragedy, or restore a sense of contentment and appreciation for the beauty of life.

Others use meditation as a creative tool and find inspiration in art. Meditation can provide deep and exquisite restful sleep, leading to stronger and more sustainable vitality, sexual energy, and peace of mind.

There are countless reasons to meditate, but one way to make the world a better, calmer, and more harmonious place is to pause for a moment in our stressful lives and enjoy the spiritual oasis of meditation practice.
