Everyone has the ideal body that they wish to achieve. Everyone has said, "Oh, if I just lost/gained 20 pounds, I will be at my ideal body size." The problem is not everyone knows how to achieve that goal. They may go on diets or start to work out, but never see any results, so they quit and then a few months or years later they try the same thing over again. Learning what to do to achieve your fitness goals can help you achieve you ideal body goals and it does not have to take years to get there. Following these tips will give you the body you have been wishing for in eight weeks.

Nutrition for Weight Loss

Having a good nutrition plan is the ultimate key when trying to achieve your ideal body goals. If you are seeking to lose weight, the key is to cut items that are not healthy for you. The main items you want to cut are breads that are not whole grain, pastas that are not whole grain, and fried foods. You want to add more things such as fruits and vegetables. For meats, fish is good to add to your diet, as well as chicken and beef. You want to stay away from pork. Carbohydrates are not necessarily bad for you like people will lead you to believe, carbs are actually what give you energy and you want to have them in order to keep your energy levels up. When shopping for carbs look for healthy carbs.

Nutrition for Weight Gain

If you are looking to gain weight, you want to eat more calories than you expend. This does not mean should eat a lot of junk food. Most junk food consist of empty calories that do nothing for your body. You want to eat protein, which can consist of red meat, at least once a week. If you are a vegetarian there are plenty of vegetables that you can get protein from. You should also eat foods that are healthy for you; just because you are seeking to gain weight does not mean you can neglect your nutrition. What you put into your body will affect how your muscles will perform.

Workouts to Lose Weight

To lose weight the ideal workout should include exercises that will get your heart rate up. Most of the exercises will be endurance based. Thing such as long distance running, interval training, and HIIT workouts will be the most beneficial. Being consistent and not checking the scale everyday will help to keep you motivated and focused. Le-vel thrive can also give you some tips on losing weight

Workouts to Gain Muscle

If you are looking to gain weight, you should incorporate short burst exercises. These include things like push ups, pull ups, and leg press. Getting in the gym can also be beneficial for you. You want to lift weight that is heavy for a short period of time. An example is lifting 50 pounds for three sets, five times each. When lifting weights, you want to make sure that you are doing the exercise correctly so that you will not injure yourself, and not be able to lift weights for an extended period of time. Sprints, squats, and push-ups are something you can do at home to gain weight.

Conclusion

Fitness goals should be realistic and healthy. You do not want to lose too much weight too fast. If you are trying to lose about 10 to 20 pounds, this will be helpful. Or if you want to build some muscle this will also work for you. The key to getting your goal body is to work as hard as you can and also to make sure that you are eating the right foods for your body type. Don’t give up on yourself. It takes six weeks for you to notice a change in your body and another four weeks for others around you to notice. Good luck!

My 'secret' way to stay in shape is to work out regularly, I have been exercising 3 times a week for several years. Systematics is the key.
