The second pillar of arthrosis therapy is moderate exercise. Many patients find this particularly difficult because the pain of arthrosis tends to encourage them to adopt a relieving posture instead of moving. However, this is exactly the wrong way to behave. Because the lack of blood circulation only makes the arthrosis worse.

The good news is that the pain and stiffness improve quickly after the first painful movements. After that, the movements become easier and the pain subsides quickly - even after the movement, you feel better for longer.

Good sports for osteoarthritis are all sports that are easy on the joints. These include Nordic walking, hiking, cycling or swimming. Above all, all water sports are particularly good for the joints. The water carries the entire body weight, which means that the joints are almost no longer strained. Swimming or aqua aerobics are ideal for all arthritis patients.
