Come Smile With Me - Episode 5
When I left Stanmore almost six years ago I promised myself that I would do everything that was available to me as life is so very precious. Many polio victims that I have met, and will meet in the future, have an inner force that drives us onwards. We are a determined group of people with a zest for life and all that it throws at us. We have beaten the virus (many of us take with us constant reminders of the battle), and through this battle have developed a force of mind and will power that drives us to achieve the almost unachievable.
Peter ThwaitesPublished 7 years ago in LongevityEnabling Autistic People to Cope with Change

These include changes of routine, changes of environment, and also times when things don’t happen the way in which we had expected them to. Autistic meltdowns (episodes where we may yell, thrash around, and lose control of ourselves) are almost always attached to some kind of change from our usual situation. I myself am autistic and experience anxiety from changes of various kinds, and I’ll mention a few of them in this piece.
Rebecca SharrockPublished 7 years ago in LongevityGreat Affirmations and Where To Find Them

Self Love (R)evolution
In the wise words of RuPaul, "If you can't love yourself, how in the hell are you gonna love somebody else?" I'm a firm believer that self-love and self-reflection are intimately linked.

'According to Vedanta, there are only two symptoms of enlightenment, just two indications, that a transformation is taking place, within you, toward a higher consciousness. The first symptom is, that you stop worrying things don't bother you any more. You become light-hearted and full of joy. The second symptom is that you encounter more and more meaningful coincidences in your life, more and more synchronicities, and this accelerates to the point where you actually experience, the miraculous'. — Deepak Chopra.

There are plenty of people out there who believe that PMDD can be successfully combated with mind over matter and that we should just buck up or get over whatever it is we’re feeling. They have no idea what they are talking about nor the challenges we face.
