Vaccination is an easy, efficient, and medically proven method for protecting the human body against harmful diseases before contraction. Together with the body’s defense antibodies, vaccinations build resistance to specific infections and improve the immune system. Vaccines train the body to create a robust immune system by developing potent antibodies. They kill bacterial and viral infections in the body, and they do not cause any harm to the body of the recipient. COVID-19 vaccines work in the same manner. Medical professionals use vaccines to prevent or protect someone from being infected with a virus. They contain antibodies that will fight the virus and prevent it from spreading throughout the body (Sadarangani et al. 2021). Viruses do not have a cure; only vaccines can contain them. These vaccines reduce the risk of the virus spreading throughout a population and infecting large numbers of people. However, spurious claims have recently emerged that there are side effects of being injected with the vaccine. Some argue that people should decline the vaccine. Such arguments are without merit since most medical professionals attest that the vaccine is effective and safe. Furthermore, many scientific studies support the same conclusion.

Scientists developing vaccines use stringent procedures that have been in practice for many years. Indeed, the World Health Organization has accepted the current methodology for creating vaccines as the standard way of containing a deadly virus. Additionally, the COVID-19 vaccines are not undergoing experimentation; they have undergone all the clinical tests and are ready to be used. Authorities have completed extensive testing to ensure the vaccines are safe and effective. Also, the vaccines are undergoing comprehensive monitoring; there has never been a vaccine so extensively tested and monitored as the COVID-19 vaccine. The vaccines are effective, and they can protect the body from the most severe symptoms of the virus. They can reduce the effects of COVID-19 even after contracting the virus.

Secondly, a person can continue doing their normal activities once they have received both vaccinations. The government has established guidelines suggesting that everybody should receive vaccinations before resuming their everyday activities and interacting with other people. One can go out to the market or a social function without wearing a mask or staying six feet apart from another person (Persad et al. 7). The government considers people fully vaccinated two weeks after the second vaccination. Therefore, it urges people to continue using the tools available until they are fully vaccinated to resume their normal activities. Also, it will help protect the people we care about: the ones we interact with or live with every day.

Thirdly, the immune system of the body improves after vaccination. The vaccines help strengthen the immune system; hence, one is also safe from other related infections. The immunity that comes after vaccination acts as an assurance of a healthy life. After contracting the virus, the risks of infecting other people become high, but the risks are lower after vaccination. Doctors have reported that the virus is fatal to people with underlying conditions such as hepatitis B, cancer, or other lung infections. Therefore, vaccinations reduce the fatality rate of the virus (Knoll and Wonodi 73).

In conclusion, COVID-19 has significantly impacted the world. It has affected many activities such as business, sports, the economy, and the daily lives of everyone. The government has worked hard to produce vaccines to strengthen the population’s immunity. Many people hold contradicting opinions about the effectiveness and safety of the vaccine, but they lack evidence for their claims. The United States and other countries that have accepted the use of vaccines have seen their case numbers and fatality rates drop significantly, proving the vaccine’s effectiveness.
