Have you ever wondered how to really escape the worries and thoughts, which bother us each and every single day without wasting a minute of our time? Even if it would be just for 5-10 minutes?

Our minds are packed like suitcases with them, and our days became so stressful, burdened with thoughts, phones, emails and people, it almost seems impossible to just sit down and take a break.

In result we never give our brain a chance to breathe. Now, it is time to unpack and reorganise. You decide what and how things go back in.

Let me explain to you, that meditation does not have to happen with our eyes closed, or alone in a dark room, or humming while sitting on a pillow.

We understand not everyone does have the time and space to sit still for some time.

So how can we make this work, without wasting a minute of our precious day?

You guessed it. On the go!

Yes, it IS possible; you can meditate while walking.

Let me give you a few examples:

You could meditate while walking to the train station or to the bus stop, maybe even to the car down the road, or while walking to the shop.

Not only you can save time while doing so, ALSO the exercise releases endorphins into your body and makes you even happier when finishing.

So why not skip a bus stop every second day and walk instead?

Follow the 6 below on-the-go steps and I guarantee you mindfulness without wasting time.

Ready… steady…go! 😊

1st Step

Ensure you turn off your phone or at least on silent.

You do NOT want to be disturbed by annoying text messages, calls or emails while improving your mental health, do you?

It is YOU-TIME now! :-)

2nd Step

Ensure the route you choose to walk, is free of obstacles. If you experience traffic lights, crossings etc on the way, just don’t walk with your eyes closed and watch your step. Stop if necessary and still consume your surroundings to a certain degree.

3rd Step

Start walking a slow to middle pace.

Focus on your breathing for the first steps.

Inhale and Exhale. Bring your full attention to how the air enters your lungs and how it leaves your body. Does your belly move in and out? Is your chest raising and falling?

Calmness will now come to release the tension you have been holding inside of you for such a long time.

4th Step

Now, slowly bring the attention to the rest of your body. Guide your thoughts down your neck, your shoulders and arms. What else do you notice?

Are your arms swinging by your sides?

How do your hips move?

Does the movement feel abrupt and edgy? If yes, can you try to smooth your movements a bit?

You feel every limp in your upper cavity. You feel your skin tingling, full of sensation and with your mind, you brush it off as if you would brush off an annoying fly.

The tingling goes down your arms until it reaches your fingertips to be then released into the world. All your burdens are slowly starting to disappear now.

5th Step

The next important step is to focus on your legs and feet.

Put your full focus on the feet, when they hit the pavement. Feel with full consciousness the bounce, when stepping on the ground, which is coming through your sole, up your legs, lower back, spine, neck and finally head. It is a warm, safe feeling of light electrocution.

This is now your metronome…your drum...your rhythm.

Inhale, Step, Step, Step, exhale, step, step, step.

6th Step

Now, become ONE with the earth and the air which surrounds you.

Every movement feels so light, like you are walking on fluffy pillows, you feel the stress releasing into the roots beneath you.

Inhale, Exhale.

Each movement flows into the next. There are no more edges, no hard obstacles.

It is just you, becoming one with the world, only the imaginary metronome guiding you.

Be fully in the moment and continue until your reach your desired destination.

How do you feel now? Almost like floating? Calm and comfortable?

Would you now think you could conquer everything?

If so then, congratulations you just finished meditation on the go and you have achieved full calmness ready to start your day with focus.

Please remember it takes some time practice to get really into it at first, but soon you will be able to do it on longer walks and achieve the full meditative status real quick.

Never forget that, when you are walking along a road to still be aware of your surroundings, such as cars, people, bicycles, wildlife.

For now I would suggest to try this on every walk you do or how it fits around your schedule. I am sure you will achieve great results.

Good luck and happy meditating!

One day I will be myself again,

and this darkness might come to an end,

and all doubt will cease,

and all strength will rise.

One day my tinted memories will be left behind,

and I will be able to see the world through a clear lens.
