Life Path is based on numerology and numerical patterns, and can be a tool to better understand the inner workings of your mind. It takes your birth date and reduces it to a single number, which is your Life Path Number. It can be a similar belief system to astrology or Zodiac signs, or even personality tests; a representation of the possibilities in your life. If nothing else, it can be a mindfulness tool or a tool for self-improvement and growth; a tool for empowerment. Even if you are a skeptic, I would encourage you to try it out.

I am going to use a fake birthdate, since I think there may be bad juju around giving out your personal information on the internet. Remember that your life is your own! There are “upsides” and “downsides” to every life path, and again, it’s just a tool! As many tarot group readers say, take what resonates and leave what doesn’t. Or, think of Olaf’s song from the second Frozen Movie: This Will All Make Sense When I Am Older. It's precious.

Time to get started.

Write out your birth date and translate it to a numerical value. Since you are adding the digits together, it doesn’t matter if your date or month comes first.

February 19, 2005

Month: 2

Date: 1+9=10; 1+0= 1

Year: 2+0+0+5= 7

Life Path Number: 2+1+7= 10 / 1

Once you find out your numbers, google the rest. Some websites are rather patriarchal in their explanations of the life paths; I use numerology.center but there are many out there and I’m sure that different websites are better for different people. Again, I can’t stress this enough: take what resonates, and leave what doesn’t. Remember that your life experiences (especially traumatic ones) will strongly impact how these ideas and trends manifest in your life. I’ll go through an explanation of Life Path Number 1, just as an example of some of the things you can find out.

Ones can be control freaks, but are natural leaders. Their looks are important to them, and vanity may be an issue. Risks are not a problem, often ones will jump on the opportunity for innovative projects. They are charming, and often people will describe ones as having a sparkle, or magnetic personality. They have a strong vibration and their emotions run high; so strong they may damage the nervous system if the one does not get them under control. Practicing good habits and not giving in to cravings will serve ones well. It is easy to trust them, and ones are trustworthy. They do not rely much on others, so gossip does not suit them as a leveraging strategy. Your secrets are safe with ones. Since new and innovative projects suit these individuals, along with the strong emotions and self-reliance, self-employment or a worker-owned cooperative is a good work option for ones. Ones can be reluctant to seek help, and may be unhappy in a situation where they are not able to be in control. Ones will often go through three stages in their life; realization of dependence, rebellion from dependence, and if you are successful at maintaining a balance of independence and healthy relationships, the third stage is achievement. Ones are unique, and may have broad talents. They often feel they don’t fit into the established social categories. It is important for ones to practice being their most authentic self, and practice their craft. One is often called the loneliest number.

Finally, a super-brief explanation of each of the rest of the paths.
