The purpose of doing research work for health issues which are occurring because of COVID-19 is to know about the current situation of people during lock down. That how they are feeling at home and what are their reviews on the impact of COVID-19 on health. However the research work is not operated through face to face interaction because of the current situation. For that reason, I have conducted an online survey on google forms of several question on precautions and issues. The research on health issues is mainly based on the progress to the status of global pandemic, with the countries across the World is adversely effected and the numbers of human cases exceeding to two millions. There is no vaccine available for the disease yet. Most of the countries took serious actions against COVID-19 through measures such as Lockdown, volunteer self -isolation and social distancing to curtail the spread of COVID-19. Whilst necessary, such measures and the disease itself, it may have adverse impact on Mental health and as well as Physical Health.

Two weeks ago, I was diagnosed with COVID-19 and due to the fear of the disease I had anxiety and stress. I was worried what if it effects my lungs and I had to go to the hospital. For this, I decided to stay in quarantine for 12-14 days. Although there were no symptoms visible at first but later on, I had cough, nausea, fever and some sort of headache. By the time COVID-19 also started to affect my mental health. This made me curious to know about that how people are dealing with it and either they are taking care of SOPs or not. The thing that bothered me was that the people around me are doing well or not. Arrival of this pandemic has effected so many lives and approved as the life threat to all over the world. This is the reason people are panicking over lockdown and are not cooperating with government.

In the previous section of results, the thirty participants sent their responses for each question to show what all of them think about the Impact of COVID-19 on health , whether people `are taking this disease seriously or not. I believe, it is necessary to talk about this issue publicly as some people do not have enough awareness that what they should have to do if they are diagnosed with COVID-19. In this time of COVID-19 pandemic everything has turned upside down, as there is lockdown for last three months. People cannot go out, they cannot meet each other, they cannot hangout, some of them are facing financial issues, some are infected with the virus and other are scared of being infected, which is probably good, As Social distancing is the only way to escape this virus and this is the only reason that the whole countries are packed and sealed. The Government have applied lockdown to retard the virus. The cases of COVID-19 have crossed the number of 150,000. They all are infected with the virus while most of the people are developing anxiety in themselves. They are having stress and are panic of being at home all the time, only introverts are gleeful of the lockdown. People were particularly happy when the decision come with a lot of pressure. Keeping in view the ongoing situation will discuss every aspect of single question asked in survey and this will reveal the thoughts of people in detail. The first question asked were “If a person who is not sick or does not show symptoms cannot spread the corona virus”. Which means that if a person is not feeling sick at all and have no symptoms, he cannot spread the virus. Majority of the participants agree with 57%, some were neutral with 17.1% and others were disagree with 25%. This shows that not everyone can spread the virus, only the people who are infected with the virus can infect it. However the virus is contagious and everyone should protect themselves on their own. There were some people along the country who were identified as COVID-19 positive even though they had no symptoms. Maybe for this reason 25.7% of participants disagree with the first statement. And people answered neutral are confused. The second question is “If a person is diagnosed by Virus, He should go to hospital”. 51.4 % of participants disagree, why? Because in Pakistan a news was roaming around that Hospital do not treat patients well, they do not take precautionary measures for COVID-19 patients ,just lock them in a isolation ward or isolation capsule and don not give medicine at all. Doctors do not start the treatment until the patient drenched to the ventilator. There were also news like this if a person have normal cough they will put him into the COVID-19 ward just for commission and also sale the dead bodies of patients for organ transplant. That’s why people are afraid of going to Hospitals. The 25.7% of participant agreed to the second question because they might think that a patient cannot be treated at home in a better way. While the rest of 17.1% are neutral. The third question is that “Cancer patient, diabetic patient and hepatitis patient have more chance of not recovering from COVID-19” For this question 62.9% of participants agreed, 22.9% are neutral and rest of `14.3% are disagree with statement. Many of the people think that COVID-19 effects only the people who are already sick. So the responses showed us that how many are agreed or not. The fourth statement is “Practicing SOPs COVID-19 can be retarded”. Majority of the people agreed with this statement that are 91.4%. In my opinion we can stop corona if we practice SOPs as the chain will break. 8.6% of participants disagreed with the statement, they say that corona is in air whether you practice SOPs or not it will infect you at some point and 0% are neutral. The fifth statement is “Mask is the most protective measure against spread of COVID-19 at community level”. With this statement 65.8% percent of participants are agreed, 17.1% are neutral and 17.1% are disagree. Yet mask is consider as protective measure against COVID-19 at most of the places wearing mask is necessary, they make this a rule. If you are not wearing mask you are not allowed. Many theories says that virus enters a body through mouth, that’s why majority of participants agreed to the statement. “The sixth argument is that a person has no Mask Available to him and He has no symptoms of Corona virus. He can go outside without a mask”. 71.4% of participants disagree with this statement as COVID-19 is Contagious whether person is not infected yet but he can be effected if he go out without a mask. However 8.6% of participants agreed, the participant who agree they may think that there is no need of wearing mask until you are not infected, and 20 % are neutral, they don’t know anything. The seventh question of the survey is “Children and old age people have high risk of effecting by COVID-19”. It is a fact that Children and old age people are weak then young and adults. There immune system is not as strong that’s why they have risk of effecting by COVID-19, and not recovered from COVID-19. For this statement 45.7% agreed as they think that children and old age people are weak so they have risk of effecting by COVID-19. However 51.4% of participants are neutral because in their opinion anyone have a high risk of effecting by corona, the age does not matter and rest of the 2.9 disagree. They may think that COVID-19 do not effect anyone. The eight question of the repots is “Do COVID-19 effects your mental health as well?” This statement is meant that being in lockdown and in quarantine, does it effects your mental state. Also this question is stated as If a person is infected with COVID-19, does the virus effects his mental health? As from the fear of being infected to infect anyone it effects the mental health. Living in self-isolation and have no face to face contact with friends and family, COVID-19 effects the mental health as well. For this question 54.3% of participants agreed, as ye it effects the mental health as well as physical health. 22.9% people are neutral thinks that COVID-19 effects everyone else’s mental health as the whole world is lockdown. So it effects everyone’s mental health because everything is closed from entertainment to education. But things are running online. Rest of the 22.9% are disagree they believe that COVID-19 do not effect a person’s mental health. The ninth statement is “COVID-19 can be cure by right medicine and staying in Quarantine”. This means that a person who infected with COVID-19 can be treated at home as well if he takes right medicine and stay in quarantine. Although he should take care of his health, maintain social distance, and shouldn’t have any interaction with other people. For this question straight 80% percent of participants are agreed that the infected person can stay at home while taking precautionary measures and staying in quarantine. 14.2% of people are disagree they think that he must go to the hospital as doctors can take good care of him, or he need anything so hospital can provide him. Rest of 5.8% are neutral, they are okay if he stays at home or go to hospital. The last statement of this report is “Special equipment and train staff is required for home based self-Isolation”. The statement is meant that if an infected is decided for home based self-isolation he should have train staff at home all the time and should have special equipment’s such as oxygen cylinder and ventilator at home. Not everyone can afford the expenses of train staff at home and but medical equipment’s. Also not for every corona patient these all things are necessary. For this tenth and the last question 8.7% of participant agreed in the response they think that all of things mentioned above are important for home based self-isolation , 22.9% are neutral they think that it’s better to go the hospital and 64.5% of precipitants are completely disagree, As train staff and special equipment’s are not essential for home based self-isolation. An infected person can be cured at home without these things if his condition became un-handle-able, and he start having breathing problem, take him to the hospital
