How You Eat May Be More Important Than What You Eat

The easiest way to lose a few pounds

Have you ever thought about your eating habits and how they may be more important than what you're actually eating?

When we talk about being healthy and dieting, we instantly think about a strict diet with lots of being deprived from our favourite foods, low calories and A LOT of water!

But truth is, changing what you eat really isn't part of a healthy way to lose weight.

If you've been trying for years to lose weight and you've tried every kind of diet and exercise with little or no change, then this post is for you!

Since studying health coaching, I've learned many ways of how our eating habits and stress can stop us from losing weight, even if we try.

Eating during stress will generate digestive upset, decreased nutrient assimilation, and unwanted fat storage, which leads to weight gain (hint: stress weight gain is always shown in the belly area).

This means that you can continuously try to eat healthy, but if you're constantly under stress, your body will not digest it properly.

There are 7 important tips to losing weight, which has nothing to do with what you're eating. Its all about how you're eating.

Wouldn't it be great if I shared all 7 of those tips with you?

I hate to burst your bubble, but what kind of coach would I be if i just told my clients all my tips? I wouldn't make any money that way ;)

But I will share with you one of my most important tips that may even change your life and get you losing some weight!

The very first step to " The Famous Secret 7" is:

The 20 minute meal - extending your meal times to 20 minutes long.

Many people don't notice this, but most of the time their meals are not lasting long enough for our bodies to realize that their being fed and this leads to overeating.

When we make our meals last 20 minutes we're letting our bodies digest the food we're eating, which means we won't need to eat as much as we though we did because we're letting our tummies get to the right amount of full.

Go ahead, eat that slice of pizza!

But remember to follow "The Famous Secret 7 tips". Eating what you want has never been so easy!

So here's how it works:

1. Use the timer on your phone to time yourself eating like you normally would and document the time

2. Increase your eating time by 5 minutes each meal until your meals are 20 minutes

3. Follow this for a full 7 days (or longer) and see how you start to feel

Notice after the 7 days how you're feeling, if you haven't noticed any change yet, give it another week. Everyone's body is different but this trick is part of the famous secret 7 for a reason!
