Introduction

We all have been there where we dreaded doing any type of physical activity, you may still strongly dislike the habit of doing so. What if I told you that exercise does not have to be entirely strenuous to the body like sprinting and lifting heavy weights. If your focus is to get back into shape or to improve your cardiovascular health, simpler and more enjoyable forms of exercise can do just the trick! Here in this article, we have listed the top 5 most fun activities that can improve your physical health and well-being!

Number 1: Swimming

With summer break just being around the corner, swimming is the perfect activity to take part in. You could swim in your local pool or a lake near your neighborhood. Since swimming requires your whole body to be active, it is great for your cardiovascular health, toning your body, and overall a total calorie burner! In addition, you're not only getting physical benefits, but also mental health benefits by just being outside in the sunlight in the fresh air.

Number 2: Walking your Dog

Taking a walk outside in your neighborhood is refreshing itself, but bringing your best friend with you makes it more fun. Walking is one of the most beneficial low-impact cardio exercises there is. It strengthens your bones and joints while improving your heart health. It can also provide mental benefits like brain clarity, reduced anxiety and stress, and overall higher levels of happiness. Not only your dog will thank you, but your body will thank you too.

Number 3: Cycling

Going for a ride on your bike can help ease your mind and allow you to experience nature at the same time. In addition to this, regular cycling can improve muscular strengths, especially in your lower body while improving your heart health. Cycling is one of the more intense exercises listed in this article, but not too intense to where you will experience total fatigue. Riding on your bike can also decrease total body fat percentage noticeably after being consistent with the exercise. If you don't have an outside bike, that is perfectly fine, you can either invest in an exercise bike or go to your local gym to reap the same benefits while being indoors.

Number 4: Hiking

Hiking is one of those forms of exercise where you could enjoy being outside and experiencing nature while getting a good amount of activity. You can hike almost anywhere, from that local hill near your neighborhood or a rocky trail deep in the mountains; hiking is universal. It is great for strengthening your full body because hiking requires your whole body to be active, also making the activity a great calorie burner!

Number 5: Team Sports

Sports, especially team sports, are one of the most enjoyable forms of exercise there is. You get the chance to push yourself to your limits to beat the opposing time while practicing teamwork with your team players. Not only sports are good for body conditioning and strengthening, but it is also a great opportunity to socialize with your team and make new friends that have the same interests as you. Which is a win-win in my book.

Conclusion

Exercise at first can be dreadful and out of comfort for some people, but when you start to explore different forms of exercise that are enjoyable to you, you can then form a habit of getting in your daily activity. The activities mentioned in our list are just a select few of the most enjoyable forms of exercise; one quick google search can greatly expand your knowledge about how many different forms of enjoyable exercises there truly are.
