Dietitians recommend the following five fruits to help lower cholesterol.

There are numerous aspects to consider when it comes to maintaining your heart's health. Maintaining a nutritious diet, exercising, quitting smoking, limiting alcohol use, and reducing stress as much as possible are all beneficial to your heart.

High blood pressure, diabetes, a smoking habit, and high cholesterol are all linked to an increased risk of heart disease and other heart-related issues. While this may appear to be a daunting task, there are things you can take to assist lower your risk. Talk to your doctor about modifying your diet and incorporating healthier foods into your daily routine, for example, to help lower your cholesterol.

1 Oranges

Oranges are not only sweet and beneficial for your immunity, but they also appear to be healthy for your heart health.

Lauren Manaker, MS, RDN, author of The First Time Mom's Pregnancy Cookbook and Fueling Male Fertility, states, "Oranges are a pleasant fruit that offer key nutrients for heart health without additional sugars." "When it comes to orange juice, observational studies have found a link between persons who drink it and significantly lower total and LDL cholesterol levels, with males having a 23 percent lower risk of having low HDL concentrations than non-drinkers. One excellent thing to do to support healthy cholesterol is to start the day with a serving of 100 percent orange juice ""There are many degrees."Oranges are not only delicious and good for your immune system, but they also look to be good for your heart.

2 Watermelon

Watermelon is a delightful way to start the summer season, and it can also help lower cholesterol, according to dietitians.

"Watermelon is a popular fruit that is an excellent cholesterol-lowering food," Manaker explains. "Lycopene, a carotenoid found in watermelon, has been proven to scavenge free radicals, potentially avoiding high cholesterol levels. Watermelon juice is a delicious way to get a variety of vital nutrients, including lycopene, into your day, especially if you replace sugary drinks with it."

3 Prunes

Prunes are either loved or despised. However, if you enjoy prunes, you may be benefiting your heart in more ways than one.

"Recent research shows that just 50 grams of prunes (5 to 6) per day greatly boosted HDL (good cholesterol) in postmenopausal women, as well as reducing inflammation and increased antioxidant activity," Manaker explains. "You may enjoy these good-for-you fruits by adding them to smoothies, using them in savory chicken meals, or simply eating them plain."

4 Apples

An apple a day can keep the doctor away, or at the very least offer you with some really beneficial nutrients.

"Apples are abundant in pectin, a soluble fiber that can bind to cholesterol in the digestive tract and transport it to the liver for excretion," says Morgyn Clair, MS, RDN, author of Fit Healthy Momma.

5 Berries

Berries are high in fiber and antioxidants, making them one of the greatest fruits for lowering cholesterol.

"Antioxidants abound in berries," Clair explains. "They help prevent the oxidation of 'bad' LDL cholesterol in the body, so protecting against its negative consequences."Because of their fiber content and beneficial antioxidants, berries are among the greatest fruits for lowering cholesterol.

High blood pressure, diabetes, cigarette smoking, and high cholesterol are all associated to a higher risk of heart disease and other heart-related problems. While this may seem like a difficult task, there are steps you can take to help reduce your risk.
