Daily Reading for January 29th, 2023

a three-card reading

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been having a lot of fun reading a two-card spread for my daily readings. Today I decided to step things up and add a third card to my daily readings. The spread I’ve decided to go with for today is one of my own making. We’ll see how it goes and maybe I’ll keep using it.

The spread I am going to use today will be a situation, action, and the takeaway.

Our first card, the situation card, is the 4 of pentacles. This card shows a seated man. Under each of his feet is a pentacle he has another in his lap and the fourth pentacle is on his head. He’s got pentacles on his mind. He’s thinking about something valuable perhaps. He may be hanging on to something as well. The way he’s holding the pentacle makes me feel like he’s holding on to something. Not hoarding, but he’s keeping something close. Perhaps he’s unsure of whether to share it or not. The way his feet are touching each pentacle suggests that he’s grounded. This isn’t a fly-by-night kind of thing. There’s sound logic surrounding this.

Our second card is the 3 of pentacles. 3’s are all about community and building things. This is our action card. It depicts three men discussing a project of some kind. One man stands on a bench and is pointing to a wall while holding a tool or device in his right hand. The other two men are holding a sheet or a diagram. It looks as though they are showing him something. Sharing it with the man standing on the bench. He is up a little higher than him so he might be the project manager or some other higher-up. This card represents growing support. Building something with a team. Sharing something with a community. Collaboration teamwork.

Our last card is again everyone’s favorite card to talk smack about. Death. In all of my readings, every author screams about the death card being about change and not actual death. (Now they got me doing it!). Anyway, this card is about change and transformation. Got it? Again because nothing in the tarot is as it seems. I spent some time on this in my last post about how there are deeper meanings in the cards and depending on the spread the cards can change their meanings. Show us different things. In this card, I see change and transformation. Death rides in on a white horse. His intent is pure and known. He comes to change things. In the card, the king lay dead on the ground. There are two kids one looking at death and the other looking away. There is also a clergyman holding his hands out. I’m not sure whether he is praying or pleading. There is a lot of water in this card which is a symbol for emotions so this change will be emotional. It’ll bring up all sorts of things. But in the background, I see a sunrise. This indicates to me that there will be light in this. Ultimately I have a good feeling about this change.

Putting all three cards together I see a project of some kind or something that someone is holding onto. Lately, a lot of my readings are about projects. Which is something to note. In general, I feel like now is a great time to start projects. But this project is ready for people to see what it is that’s being worked on. It’s time to share this project and build a community of support around this project. The warning here is that through this process of sharing, the project will go through a transformation. It will change a little and that’s ok. It will need to grow and adapt a little to continue to thrive. Change teaches us to be fluid. To adapt. Change may be scary but ultimately it allows for growth and progress and that’s a good thing. We want our idea to bloom and grow.

Thanks for reading. I hope that you enjoyed this one. I you did or if it resonated with you please leave a comment and let me know. If this didn’t resonate with you please share it with a friend who might need to hear this message today. Thank you again and have a great day!
