Tip 1: Regular back training

If the back is trained, injuries or strains are much less likely to occur. That's why it's important to keep your back muscles in shape. Especially a high and one-sided load quickly leads to tension and in the worst case even to severe pain. In the beginning, you should start with light sports, such as swimming, cycling or Nordic walking. Over time, you can increase the training and thus give your muscles a helping hand. Important: A one-time training is of no use, you have to exercise regularly.

Tip 2: Visit a back school

Many people are not aware of back school, but it is a great help against pain. It is a special course that revolves around back health. In this respect, you not only learn how to prevent back pain, but at the same time you get to know various exercises. The great feature is that the exercises are tailored to specific points. It doesn't matter whether you have discomfort between the shoulder blades or in the lower back, in the back school you learn how to specifically solve discomfort in the areas.

Tip 3: The right mattress

Many back complaints come from choosing the wrong mattress. After all, we spend a third of our lives in bed, which is why a high-quality and adapted mattress is indispensable. The mattress must support the muscular parts and at the same time cushion the bony areas. Ideally, one should visit a mattress specialty store to receive tailored advice. If the mattress is not the problem, it may be the pillow. Now an orthopedic neck pillow can provide relief.

Tip 4: Pleasant heat therapy

There are many home remedies, which help against mild pain. Especially heat is very popular, because it relaxes the muscles and works against tension. Heat therapy can be used, for example, a red light lamp, ointments or oils. A hot bath or a hot water bottle are also good solutions. However, in the case of acute or chronic back pain, this usually doesn't get you very far. In the worst case, only the innovative Racz Catheter Technology can help.

Tip 5: Controlled movements

One of the most common causes of sudden discomfort is lifting and carrying. Many people put excessive strain on their backs when they pick something up and carry it. In fact, proper bending should be learned in childhood. The following always applies: Lift something from the knees and not from the back. This means bending at the knees and keeping the back straight. With an upright gait and stretched legs, you then pick things up. In the same way, you also carry the load by holding it close to your body at your chest and stomach.

Tip 6: More ergonomic furniture

If you work a lot sitting down, an ergonomic chair and a suitable table are a must. Many people sit completely bent at the table, so that the spine is deformed in the long run. This creates tension and chronic pain is unavoidable. Therefore, the workplace should be set up so that it ergonomically adapts to the body. Ideally, one should have a chair and a table that are adjustable in height. A wedge cushion is a great help in this regard. You should also take regular breaks and stretch your back during these breaks.

Tip 7: Antispasmodic massages

Unfortunately, many sufferers turn to painkillers when the symptoms get out of hand. This is not the right way, because often a massage can achieve much better results. It is important that it is a targeted massage against back pain, which is performed by a professional person. Although a pure wellness massage can also be beneficial, the results are not quite as good. The aim of the massage is to loosen and relax the "stuck" muscle strands. This permanently combats the pain. If you suffer from back pain on a regular basis, a weekly massage is recommended.
