Maybe you set out to be happier and healthier earlier. Not a bad thing. If you want to make a difference in your life, to be better on all levels, several ways will help you achieve your goals. It is not difficult at all, once you understand what changes or choices you need to make in your lifestyle.

1. Volunteer to help others

Sometimes we forget that other people need our help. When it comes to giving other people a helping hand, this aspect comes with a sense of satisfaction that cannot be reproduced in any other way.

Think of a time when you were with someone and remember how you felt when you gave a helping hand. Make this notion of "serving" others a part of your weekly routine.

2. Wake up earlier

Experts say that if you wake up even 30 minutes earlier than usual, this can help you feel calmer, feel better in control, and generally happier. Practice this every day and eventually, you will be happier and healthier, you will get off to a better start, you will not rush things and you will reduce the stress in your life.

It is not for nothing that it is said, according to the proverb, that "He who awakens in the morning is far off."

3. Spend money on experiences

Researchers have found that spending money on objects and things do not make us happy. You may feel happy or excited for a short time, but what makes us truly happy is that we spend our money on experiences.

So book a day or two trip right now, to a place with a great view, and cancel the order you placed for a new laptop, for example.

4. Don't forget to laugh, cry, have sex

Here we have described three ways in which endorphins (hormones that "give" you happiness) can be released, an aspect that will improve your mood in the shortest time.

Who would have thought that crying makes you feel good? Well, that makes sense. Because you know that if you refrain from crying, this does not make you feel very well. So the next time you feel the need to cry, don't hold back!

And when it comes to sex, you already know that it is good for your health and that it is a fantastic exercise. And now that you know it's a good activity for your mood, you have no excuse to say "step" to a good sex party.

5. Drink almond milk

Almond milk has many fantastic benefits, while whole milk of animal origin can have unpleasant effects on the human body. Stay away from dairy (especially if you are lactose intolerant) and use almond milk as a substitute. Your cardiovascular and skeletal systems will benefit from this type of milk, and you will have healthier, more beautiful skin.

6. Smile!

You know that a smile leads to the release of endorphins in the brain, that is, those hormones that ensure a better mood. If you put a smile on your face for a few minutes, this phenomenon will quickly solve a situation in which you may feel low morale.

A good "tool" you can use to smile more is to take an old photo album (which doesn't contain photos that would bother you) out of the drawer and flip through the pages. You will end up smiling so much that you will feel happy in no time.

7. Breathe properly

Sometimes people "forget" how to breathe properly. Whenever you notice that your breathing is accelerating and becoming shallow, stop what you are doing and take a deep breath. Hold the air in your lungs for a second, then exhale, letting it out gradually.

Repeat the exercise several times, until your breathing calms down and returns to normal. You will feel relaxed, as if you have just been reborn, after this exercise. It is a beneficial activity for your lungs, for your digestion, for the circulatory system, and, of course, to keep stress under control.
