Goop and the Monetisation of Female Empowerment
Lately, there has been a lot of coverage of the ludicrous claims made by Goop, the “modern lifestyle brand” owned by Gwyneth Paltrow. A few weeks previous, it was the preserve of a particular niche of the market, but now we all know about it due to an incisive blog by Dr. Jen Gunter, an OB-GYN devoted to promoting evidence-based health care, you know, the kind that actually works. Paltrow made things worse for herself by attempting a rebuttal of Dr. Gunter’s criticism, only to reveal the secrets of her playbook for selling snake oil.

At Gay Star News, the online media company where I work, we've been growing. We've been recruiting new members to the team, and there's also been some turn-over in roles, plus we've got some plans for further growth. So it feels like we're going through a period of change.
Gareth JohnsonPublished 7 years ago in JournalThe Importance of Social Media
Donald Trump and Jeremy Corbyn should be proof enough of the power of social media. The first relied heavily on Twitter during a campaign that ended with his taking the White House. (His social media usage even has its own Wikipedia page.) The second took advantage of Facebook to surprise observers with a strong—though not successful—showing in the General Election.
Dustin ReidPublished 7 years ago in JournalFacebook v. Google: Battle of the Search Engines
While Google has been the dominant player for many years in the search engine function market, Facebook is the online company and service who is hoping to eventually put an end to that domination. While Google holds over 63 percent of the market share for search engines and over 95 percent of the market share when it comes search engines for mobile devices, Facebook is steadily making some of that ground up. Due to the fact that Facebook has over a one billion active user base, a large audience, and a great amount of both financial, labor, and technological resources, they are the only ones out there who could compete with Google for Search Engine users.
The Simple Joys of Accounting
Starting college, the last thing I ever expected was to love accounting enough to become a tutor in it. Alas, I actually had fun accounting. It was almost like those logic puzzles you did as a kid. You would go through the clues and follow the steps to get to the answer. It was simple: follow the rules.

There is no worse time, weather-wise, as when it is raining, storming, thundering, lightning, hailing, and the wind blowing furiously outside to be delivering pizzas. Pizza Delivery Drivers are like the Post Man, we go in all kinds of weather, except I do not go in the snow or any kind of bad road situations that may arise in the winter months of the year due to inclement weather. Here is another scenario of getting to know your local part of town.

Swagbucks.com
As a stay at home mother of two, I have explored several different ways of supplementing my husband's income while working at home. There are many scams out there, so this can be a dangerous venture to undertake. The first rule I have established is to not give anybody money in order to make money. Most sites asking for money will not make you money, only themselves. The second rule is to not count out the little money makers. Many people will refuse to work with some sites because they will not make you millions. I learned from an early age that you must start small. One small money maker will not make you millions, but several could make you thousands or just save you hundreds. It all depends on what you are doing.
