I guess we can all agree when I say that " Graduating in a pandemic is a disaster"

I am one of those students who was unlucky enough to end my final year days with a lockdown and quarantine.

Even people who got placed in companies didn't get calls for the job. The economy crashed and a lot of people lost jobs. People are living in fear which is justifyable since the world has lost thousands and thousands of souls this year due to the novel corona virus.

I myself got infected twice and thankfully recovered to write this article!

So it's clear that it's a confusing age to be living in. Nothing is the same now. People quit their jobs that they have been doing all their life because of the fear of getting infected

And there are still millions of people living in their homes with the the social distancing paranoia.

With all this going on, realize that it's okay to be struggling to get a job. This is true. Don't be in a hurry to find a job immediately. At times like this, things can take a turn for the worse. Be happy if you and the people you love are alive and well

Heres all the things you can do if you are struggling yo find a job after graduation:

Reach out to people in your industry :

Joining communities and groups in your industry can help you get a clear picture of what others like you are facing.

Here you can learn, support each other and grow from this experience.

You could find job opportunities here and you can even help others in your industry with the problems they are facing. A genuine community can do wonders for all the members.

So go ahead and check out all the digital platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, reddit, quora, discord and what not. See where you have genuine groups and join there.

You can also try and find such communities away from social media. Just google "your industry communities and groups"

You could find some gems out there in the internet that could really help you.

Be patient : Keep your cool

Patience is extremely important in an uncertain time like this. Doctors and medical experts predict that this pandemic would go on for another two years.

So whatever it is you want, be patient. You might not get the exact job role you wanted. You might not get the exact salary you want. You might get the job in the exact location you desire. And it's okay!

Be patient. Decades can happen in a few days. Things will fall into place. Meanwhile you be patient and build yourself!

Use this time to build something new:

Gary Vee claims that this pandemic could be the best thing that happened to a lot of people across the world and they just don't realize it yet.

So use this time to do something that you have always procastinated and put off. Do the things in your to do list that you are too scared to follow.

Maybe a business idea or a new habit or a new thing that you want to do but never got around to it. This could be an life changing opportunity for a lot of people. You have nothing but time. Why not use it?

Look for study abroad opportunities:

It might be an attractive option since some weren't able to get placed in a job.

If you haven't started, start preparing for the study abroad exams like GRE, TOEFL, IELTS, SAT, ACT and what not.

Look for the right destination in this pandemic which would both support immigration and has loads of opportunities for your career and industry.

Canada and Germany has been very attractive for foreign students for awhile now.

So look into your options and decide!
