Passive or online earning is becoming popular all over the world. Everyone wants to earn by staying at home. Because it is comfortable, reliable, enjoyable, and less hectic than office work. There are many writing websites that provide writers with the opportunity to write and earn. But it demands extra time, effort, engagement and patience. On many writing websites, people work for months or years but get nothing in output. However, at the same time, many people earn more than they expect on the same websites, on the other hand.

Then what is the best option to earn online?

If you will ask this question from me, I’ll drop an answer ‘‘freelancing.’’

Yeah, you read it right. Freelancing is the best option to earn money staying at your home. This is my point of view, your can be vice versa.

There is a huge number of freelance marketplaces that welcome sellers and buyers with equal opportunities. I will talk about three that are best in my perception

First of all, let me give you a brief and important understanding of freelancing.

What are freelance marketplaces?

Freelancing marketplaces are platforms that provided people with a large variety of job opportunities — Job tasks that people can perform at home. These are the platforms where employers and employees (basic contractors) meet with each other via a project.

Who is a freelancer?

A freelancer is a person who is offering his/her services on the freelancing marketplaces. In another word, it is called a seller(who sells his/her services).

Freelancers do take on contract work for companies and organizations, they are ultimately self-employed. … Freelancers are not considered “employees” by the companies they work for, but rather “contractors.”

Who can join freelance marketplaces?

The good news is, freelancing is not about qualification and education-based. It is a skill and interest base. If you are not highly qualified, still you can join the freelancing marketplace. Wait…wait…It doesn’t mean that a complete layman can join and earn his/her desired money.

No, that is not the fact. Let me clear my point. I am saying if you have minimum education but having good skills in any domain then you can make money by using your skills. Such as if you are an intermediate or bachelor student or qualified but you are interested and skilled in graphic designing, writing, and data entry — you can make money by using your skills.

Data entry is the best category for all types of people( highly qualified and minimum qualified). Not only this, freelancing provides a wide variety of job categories to make it easy for people to select the job that suits best their skills.

For example, I am a medical professional but I am interested in creative writing and you can say little skilled as well. So I use my creative writing passion and skills to work on freelance marketplaces.

The following are the categories which you can work on :

  • Data entry
  • Digital Marketing
  • Writing
  • Graphics Designing
  • Digital literacy
  • SEO

From where you should start?

#1. Fiverr

Fiverr is the most recommended by me for beginners. If you’re zero in knowledge and experience in freelancing. You can join Fiverr. Learn it, explore it, apply for a job, make your score and move to another platform.

I recommended Fiverr because it is the easy and best platform for beginners to learn and open their way towards other platforms. However, it is not specified for beginners only. Many professionals are working on Fiverr and making more than 1000$ to 2000$ per month.

How you can make money from Fiverr?

On Fiverr, you have to create a gig.

What is a gig? The gig is your service, in which you mentioned all your terms and conditions, requirements, charges, and a complete description of the service.

For instance, You wants to sell your writing skill. What You can do? You can create a gig on ghostwriting services, article writing, content writing, resume writing, and many more.

Such as You will tell the buyer You are a ghostwriter/article writer or so on…Thus, You can write an e-book, articles, and blog content for them. You’ll mention what the buyer will get after purchasing your service. What you’ll charge for the particular service etc?

The minimum amount is 5$ you can start from. You can not create a service for less than 5$. You can earn 5$ by writing a single poem and 500 words article. Rates vary from seller to seller. Some top-rated sellers charge more. They can charge 25$ to30$ for 500 words and even more.

For beginners, it is better to start from the lowest rate of 5$. 150$ for writing 5000 words mini book is also good to engage people toward your gig.

#2. Upwork

People post thousand of jobs daily on Upwork. Upwork is a little different than Fiverr. However, the opportunity you may get is the same. On Fiverr you post a gig and people reach you through your gig. On Upwork people post jobs and you send them a proposal and announce your candidacy for the job. The buyer describes all about the job, eligibility criteria, and what he/she will pay you for this. You simply send your proposal and after interviews, buyers can select or reject your proposal. If you get hired, you will receive your amount after submitting the work.

On up-work you can enjoy both categories, you can apply for jobs as well as you can post your own service as well. On up-work, you are charged per hour. For instance, you can be charged 20$, 50$,100$ per hour or more. Many people earn up to 500$ or 600$ per project or job task. If you win 6 projects for 500$ in a month, you can make 3000$ easily.

#3. Guru.com

Guru.com provide a wide variety of opportunity. Guru.com is a next-level freelancing plate form where professionals earn more than 3000$ even per month. Is it not sound WOW? And even beginners can earn up to 500$ per month. You may face some challenges that vary from person to person. But staying consistent and learning will charge you what you desire.

On guru.com, you can do the same as on Upwork. You can apply for jobs and upload your service as well. As well as buyers can send you an invitation to work for them.
