3. How to do Search Engine Optimization of Vocal Media Articles?

3.1. Keywords

3.1.1 Select keywords

Keyword selection is one of the most important steps in Search Engine Optimization. You have to selected your keyword very carefully. You need to pay attention towards certain factors while choosing the keyword for your article.

  • Your keyword should have a high search volume
  • Keywords should have low competition.
  • Use long tail keywords instead short tail keywords. Because long tail keywords have a higher possibility to be ranked than the short tail.

3.1.2. How can you find keywords?

There are a number of tools or software available on the internet which are totally free. You can use any tool. You can use AHREF, SEMrush or Keyword Everywhere. There are thousands of other tools also. You can use them too.

3.1.3. Distribute keywords into the body or throughout

After you have done with the keyword selection, it is very important to know how to use these keywords. Knowing how to distribute your keyword is very important. Use the keywords as follow:

  • Heading: Use your keywords in the heading. Never miss it. The heading should must be optimised. Because when google crawlers come to your article they will first detect the heading by keywords.
  • Meta Description: It's equally important to use your keywords in the meta description as in the heading. Try to use it several times or use it at least once.
  • Subheading and Body: Use the keywords in your article body thoroughly. Try to use keywords in every paragraph several times. Especially keywords should be used in every line of the first paragraph. Secondly, try to use keywords in subheadings as well but use them logically. If you actually require a keyword, then, you can use it there.

Mostly we use images or videos in the article and they are required. Because it increases good reading experience for readers. So Image or video optimization is also important. Because google crawler can detect images easily when it's optimised. Or it increases the chances of the article to rank. You can optimise your image by adding relevant information and your main keywords in the ''Alt text image description' As in the above photo, the image is credited. If you use your own photos, try to use those relevant to article and use your keywords in the description.

External links are also known as backlinks or hyperlinks. Obtain backlinks with no follow from discussion forums like Quora, Reddit, and Medium. Obtaining backlinks for your Vocal Media piece is one of the best things you can do because it affects how well your website ranks on Google.

Final Thought:

No one is a master of Search Engine Optimization. The general rule of Search Engine Optimization remains the same for every site. However, you have to move according to the platform's available options as I mentioned above in section 2 (For instant, on Vocal media, you get certain options to edit your content. You only get a “H” for heading. On Medium, you get a larger “T” for the main heading and a smaller “t” for the subheading. On blogger.com you will get 6 H. H1, major heading, H2 subheading, H3 minor heading, and so on. You have to follow every platform rule along with the general rule of Search Engine Optimization). One more thing you have to keep in mind is that it's not necessary that all your article will be ranked soon after publishing. Some articles ranked sooner while others sometimes take time. As I published an article on Medium ''What is Quora and How you can earn money by using Quora''. It was ranked a month later after its publication. It was published on Sep 27, 2021, and it is still getting a huge number of views. Another article, on the other hand, was ranked in a day but it remains on the first page of google for one month and later it was de-ranked.

Just Optimised your every article and keep posting.
