Will you be my friend

The sitcom is about a young lady(Sally) who has moved to a new city in a new state, She is looking to make new friends.

1st episode

She is walking home from her job in a nearby restaurant . She walks by a yard filled with young men who say hi to her. For a week they say hi as she walks by. One day a young black man who lives in the house invites her to go hiking. She has the day off so she says yes, The day is uneventful. He seems okay, she is thinking maybe they could be friends. He introduces her to his friends. She puts all her faith in these people.

Sally believes in being polite. She tends to say one thing but think another. Her true thoughts are shown in a little thought bubble next to her face.

Some of her new friends.:

Sam- he wears all designer clothing and is from a wealth family. He is constantly talking about his cloths and family heritage. Sally listens but she is totally baffled. Do people really pick their friends according to the clothes they wear? Why is he always talking about this? He is a jeweler, but he never talks about his jewelry. She figures that having to work,is viewed by him to be a bad thing

Jack- Jack is always talking about his income and all the things he has bought for his condo. Sally listens but is totally baffled., How could someone be so materialistic? He dresses in biking attire. He is not a good cyclist. They go riding but after about a half a hour he wants to turn around ,and end the ride. Sally can not figure out why he dresses like a professional cyclist.

Tom-tom has pictures of female bathing suit models on his walls. He lives at home with his mother. Some how he always has tons of money, which he has not worked for. He asks Sally to makeout. Sally says no. She is thinking- no job- no ambition, no respect for women

Rick- Rick doesn't shop anywhere where he can not use a coupon. Sally thinks most people take pride in paying their own way. Again she is confused.

Matt- The man who takes her hiking. He thinks he should not have to pay his own way. He goes out to eat with friends and brings no money. Tom usually ends out paying for him. This man confuses her as well. Most men want to pay for females. They take pride in working for what they have . Sally slowly loses respect for him.

At the beginning of the series, Sally puts all her faith in her new friends. She is confused by them but ignores the facets that don't make sense to her. She in the end moves to another area of town so she is no longer near the yard where everybody hangs out. When she moves into her new apartment she invites them all over for a party. but because of the distance she stops seeking them out.

The last scene of the site com Matt and her get in an argument, He offers to walk her to her apartment. Every four blocks he is stopping to buy a beer. Sally no longer hides her thoughts. She disagrees with one of his opinions. He gets angry, and tells her that she doesn't understand. She tells him she does understand his perspective. She just doesn't agree. He also gets on her case because she is not drinking beer, Soda in his mind is not a adults drin
