A Farmers’ Sexy Greediness & The Carpenter.
A carpenter's goose, which had produced six eggs, passed away one day. After delivering the eggs to his farmer neighbor, the carpenter stated: "My goose passed away after laying six eggs. Now, your broody hen would sit on the eggs if you gave them to her, and after around thirty days, the eggs would hatch. You will have two of the goslings if all the eggs hatch, and I will keep the remaining four." The farmer gave him a disbelieving glance and uttered: "Oh no, we'll split the six goslings equally between the two of us if they all hatch. You'll receive three, and I'll receive three.” After a brief hesitation, the carpenter had no choice but to comply. After giving the farmer the eggs, he walked away. The carpenter came back to the farmer a month later and said: "I think that at this point, every egg has hatched. Can I then have my three goslings?" Nevertheless, the farmer grinned and uttered: “Sorry, but none of them hatched! As it happened, none of the eggs were good. I have already disposed of them.” That did not appear to cheer up the carpenter. He departed right away. After a day, the farmer heard someone knock on his gate early the next morning. He noticed an elderly man wearing an outdated black coat when he opened the gate. He donned a cap and had a long white beard. His voice was scratchy as he spoke: "I buy many kinds of chicken birds as a farmer and traveller. I've heard that you also farm. I'll buy your goslings for a hefty sum of money if you have any." Cheerfully the farmer enquired, "How many do you need?" "How many have you got?" the old man questioned in return. "Six", was the farmer's response. "I need three, and I will pay handsomely for them," the elderly man then declared. With great excitement, the farmer ran in, released three goslings, and delivered them to the elderly man. Then, an unexpected event occurred. The elderly man revealed his genuine identity by taking off his hat and starting to rip out his false beard. He was not elderly. Afterward, he said: "Do you find this surprising? That would be me, the carpenter who lives next door. For all your apparent intelligence, you are a complete idiot! My three goslings are now mine. In equal measure, the two of us have shared them." As the farmer stood dumbfounded, the carpenter continued, "Indeed, your greed has cost you dearly. But let this be a lesson for us both. Honesty and fairness should always prevail in our dealings with others." Reflecting on his actions, the farmer nodded in understanding, realizing the error of his ways. From that day forward, he vowed to conduct himself with integrity and respect towards his neighbors and fellow farmers. As for the carpenter, he returned home with his three goslings, grateful for the valuable lesson learned. He understood that true wealth lies not in material possessions but in the trust and goodwill of those around him. And so, with a newfound sense of humility and wisdom, the farmer and the carpenter continued their lives, each enriched by the experience and the bond forged through honesty and mutual respect. As the sun set on another day in the countryside, the echoes of their story served as a reminder to all who heard it: in a world filled with temptation and deceit, integrity and honesty will always stand as pillars of strength, guiding us towards a brighter and more harmonious future. And thus, the tale of the farmer's greediness and the carpenter became more than just a story; it became a timeless lesson for generations to come. Moral lesson: Never try to deceive others, lie, or cheat them. People may be more smart than you realize. Additionally, greediness can never be sexy - don't mind my title. You're a random 32 year old, delivering parcels for ThisCorp. You rent a van from Not-a-Scam rental company, to get work from Shit Ltd, a subcontractor with ThisCorp. ThisCorp and/or Shit Ltd sends you on roads tighter than the width of your van. It's only a matter of time until you damage it. With only 5 days of notice, Not-a-Scam takes it back from you just because they have to change their entire fleet, for whatever reasons. You end up with ÂŁ2K in debt for some scratches you don't have time to fix yourself, and even if you did you could end up getting charged anyway, because when you return the van they check the thickness of the paint to see if it was resprayed. You have no energy left to fight this, you sold it to ThisCorp for pennies.
