An influx of information has recently surfaced regarding Motorola's upcoming flagship smartphone, the Edge 50 Pro, unveiling almost everything from specifications to features.

The company shared a few teasers on its Indian X account (formerly known as Twitter) showcasing the capabilities of the device. However, a significant portion of the details comes from a listing page discovered on Flipkart, an Indian e-commerce platform. According to the listing, the Edge 50 Pro boasts a 6.7-inch curved pOLED display with a 1.5K resolution (2,712 x 1,220 pixels) and a refresh rate of 144Hz. Motorola appears to be dedicated to enhancing the viewing experience to the fullest extent. Not only does it cover the entire DCI-P3 color gamut, but the company also claims that the screen is the "world's first Pantone validated display."

For those unfamiliar, Pantone is renowned for developing the Pantone Matching System, a color standard widely used across various industries. With this standard integrated into the Edge 50 Pro, Motorola asserts that the screen will accurately represent colors and skin tones.

Motorola is gearing up for the release of its upcoming flagship device, the Edge 50 Pro. This new smartphone will be equipped with the powerful Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. The announcement was made by Motorola's Chinese division, confirming that the X50 Ultra will be the local name for the Pro version. Additionally, we anticipate that the phone will also be launched in the United States under the name Edge+ (2024), as Motorola typically uses the Plus moniker for its flagship devices targeted at American customers.

The phone has already made appearances in various leaked videos and teasers, revealing that it is set to be launched in India on April 3, a date that we previously informed you about. According to these videos, the X50 Ultra/Edge 50 Pro will feature a 6.7-inch screen with Full HD+ resolution and a high refresh rate of 165 Hz. It will also boast 12 GB of RAM and storage options of up to 512 GB. However, it is worth noting that these videos may potentially be showcasing footage of the Edge 40 Pro, as they do not reveal any new features that were not already present in the 2023 flagship, not even any specific features related to Android 14.

You can see for yourself as the Moto Edge 50 Pro has already made its appearance on Flipkart with its own dedicated landing page. The page has confirmed certain specifications, such as a 50 MP main camera that will offer auto-focus tracking in videos, AI adaptive stabilization, and an AI photo enhancement guide. Interestingly, the page also states that the screen will have a resolution of 1220p and a refresh rate of 144 Hz, which contradicts the information provided in the videos. Furthermore, Motorola has claimed that this will be the first phone to feature a Pantone-validated display, promising to deliver "real-world colors" and "accurate skin tones" in the most authentic manner possible.

The Motorola Edge 50 Pro will be available in three colors: White, Purple, and Black. As the release date draws near, we anticipate learning more details about this highly anticipated phone.
