Spring Asthenia and Libido — Normally, the coming of spring has long been associated with resurrection, fertility, energy active life, love. , have a positive mood (sun effect) and are more likely to fall in love! This season, both animals and humans are even more fertile…

With spring, we often get rid of that gloomy mood of winter — when all we want is to sleep as much as possible and eat! Now, the energy is back, the lust for life is back, the libido is back — at least, that’s what we expected! But spring alone cannot work wonders — during this time, there are even as many cases of depression as in winter, despite the sun, popcorn, and butterflies…

Moreover, some of us experience spring asthenia. , which prevents us from feeling the positive effects of the season. And if the arrival of spring does not bring us the long-awaited sun, but other gloomy, cold, and cloudy days, we should not be surprised that that revival is left to wait!

About spring asthenia and libido:

What is spring asthenia? It is a state of fatigue, a lack of energy and vitality of the body — both physically and mentally. As the seasons change, this state of weakness is much more common, especially among people who are sensitive to external factors such as light and temperature.

Why does spring asthenia appear? Changes in temperature and light are an important cause of this condition (but also lack of it — when you look forward to the warm and bright season and it is delayed).

But the winter diet also plays an important role in the state of weakness in early spring — during the cold season, we often do not ensure healthy portions of fresh fruits and vegetables! Also, during the winter, the state of “hibernation” often makes us give up physical exercise and breathe very little fresh air.

What are the effects of spring asthenia? Fatigue — despite the morning sun, you still want to stay in bed; a state of apathy, laziness — physically and mentally (difficulty concentrating); pain (usually of the head and muscles); prolonged sleep or insomnia; some sadness; and… the impairment of libido, of the desire for love, which, instead of reviving spring, seems to decrease even more!

Spring asthenia and libido — measures against asthenia:

Fresh fruits and vegetables. It doesn’t matter if you are a “carnivore”: when you feel a little apathetic, despite the bright season, eat all the greens and all the fresh seasonal fruits!

Drink! Consume two liters of water daily and natural juices — and if you spend an evening, don’t forget that alcohol dehydrates, so it recovers!

Detoxification treatment. For your body to benefit from a fresh start, try a short detoxification treatment (which will get rid of all the toxins accumulated in winter and a few kilograms)!

Such a cure can mean consuming absolutely nothing except fruits, fresh vegetables, fresh fruit and vegetable juice (squeezed at home), and water — for 4–7 days! Be careful, though: talk to your doctor first, because if you have any health problems, such a cure will do you more harm than good.

Vitamin supplements. Because you’ve eaten so many more fatty and less nutritious foods in the winter, taking vitamin supplements can be a perfect way to fight spring asthenia: vitamin C, calcium, magnesium, iron, vitamin D (preferably, ask the doctor a recommendation on vitamins and doses).

Spirulina supplements are often recommended as beneficial against spring asthenia. You can try if the spring asthenia is intense and has “killed” your libido and remedies such as ginseng, oak bud extracts, brewer’s yeast, honey.

Sleep program. Try as much as you can to follow a sleep schedule — one bedtime and one waking hour. However, resist the temptation to spend another hour in bed (for sleep!), Because the more you sleep, the more tired you get — ironically! In general, 8 hours of sleep is enough (beware of the other extreme, to sleep less than 7–8 hours). One more thing — if you wake up an hour before the alarm due to the strong sun, get out of bed, don’t be lazy!

Physical movement. Speaking of spring asthenia and libido — of course, a perfect measure is an activity in bedding — making love as often as possible will increase your desire to make love! So is physical exercise — the arrival of spring is the perfect time to establish a physical activity program: at the gym, at the pool, at dancing, or jogging in the fresh air… Just try and you will see positive effects in a month at most (including on libido) !!
