The clip was first shared by the Instagram account @policia24h and soon went viral, drawing a mixed response from social media users. Some commenters found the incident amusing, but others revealed outrage for the blatant danger to fellow drivers posed by the couple on a major motorway.

One social media user immediately called for police action, writing, “And the number plate, can’t they take it to the civil guard?” Another local shared their anger over the risk to life by the couple, writing, “Good grief, this is why there are accidents every other day.” They also noted that other commentators didn’t see the danger of sexual distractions while driving.
