Teens Warned Viral ‘Door Kick Challenge’ Could Lead to Deadly Results
TikTokers challenge each other to run to a front door wearing a mask, to kick it, then run away in the ‘Door Kick Challenge.’

Many youngsters enjoy the potential dangers of the latest viral challenge, putting themselves at risk for TikTok views. The latest is dubbed the "Door Kick Challenge." However, one mother is urging parents to talk to their kids about the potential dangers of this new viral challenge, making the rounds on social media right now.
The mom told Fox News that around one week ago at about 9 pm, her doorbell camera captured footage of a masked person approaching her front door at speed. The person then kicked the door before running away.
“I was in my bedroom. I have a 10-month-old at home, so he was asleep in his bedroom. And my husband was in his office. And I heard a huge bang, and it absolutely scared me,” the woman said.
Searching on X (formerly Twitter) reveals that the challenge has been going on since around November 2025.
The mom said that after she and her husband checked on their baby and the rest of the house, they went to the camera
“When I first saw the video, my first thought was that it looked this big man who was, like, masked, coming to break our door down. And my first thought was, ‘OK, he has a weapon. He’s trying to break into the house, hurt my baby, hurt me and my family,’” the mother said.
Fox has agreed to keep the mom’s identity and address concealed, but she said she wants other parents to know about their experience. Moreover, she stressed that she is concerned about this new so-called viral challenge, as it could lead to someone getting hurt, or worse.
“When I posted it in the (Facebook) group and I realized it was kids, I’m like, ‘This isn’t funny,’” she said. “Every comment on the video I posted on Facebook was, you know, ‘They come to my house, they’re going to be greeted with a gun.’”
‘Door Kick Challenge' spreads across the country
Door cameras across the US have recorded what appear to be youngsters taking part in the "Door Kick Challenge." Meanwhile, the videos are shared on apps like TikTok and across social media platforms
“I mean, how scary is that,” said Barney Tyrney, the Madisonville police chief said. While no incidents have yet been recorded in their town, he shares the concerns that the mother has raised.
“The majority of homeowners in this parish own at least a single gun, and they’re doing it to protect themselves,” he said. “If they knew it was a child’s prank, well, obviously, I think they would just let it go. But when they run up and kick the door, you don’t know what they’re doing. You don’t know if they’re kicking the door as a prank, or if they’re kicking the door attempting to gain entry into the home.”
Meanwhile, the mom explained to Fox that she and her husband moved to the area because it felt safer to them. However, following the unexpected incident, they are adding more cameras around their home for security. She also noted that authorities have yet to find a suspect.
The Nancy Guthrie kidnapping case

The recent high-profile story of the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, 84, the mother of NBC News anchor Savannah Guthrie, who was abducted from her home in Tucson, Arizona, on February 1, 2026, is a potential warning to teens playing the “Door Kick Challenge.”
A masked figure was captured by Nancy’s doorbell camera, but has yet to be caught. Anyone seeing the terrifying image from Guthrie’s doorbell camera would likely be horrified and terrified if someone appeared at their door in a similar manner. Just don’t do it, kids. This viral challenge could lead to a homeowner shooting through the door with no questions asked.
