Max and Joy have been married for 5 years and they have been expecting their child. Joyce was so beaten about the situation that she made a sex calendar for her and Max.

Max talked to Joy about adoption, but she so against it. Joy said that the last thing she would do was to raise someone else child.

The whole arrangement was so stressful for Max, because every time he came back from work so tired Joy never cared, she just wanted to have sex.

Max always went to work sleepy, tired, so drained, and exhausted. He never really slept at night, so this affected him at work.

It was so draining that even his colleague noticed was he was always tired.

This particular day at work, a max colleague came to call him for a meeting and found him sleeping. Max's colleague made the statement saying ''Maxilo this one your sleeping like this you dey all night dey do the thing''. Max who was so tired, answered saying he has never hated sex so much in his entire life and his friend was surprised.

Later that night when Max came home, he went to his room and greeted Joy tiredly. They were having a conversation when Joy wanted to have and Max lashed out at her.

He said he was tired and the whole sex calendar was draining me. He said that the last thing he wanted to do was to have sex with her and he can't even remember the last they enjoyed sex or even had an orgasm.

Joy was so angry and she left the room and slept in the guest room that night. The next day they both went to work without speaking to each other.

CHAPTER 2: The sisters visit

When Joy came back from work, she found her sister Faith outside their gate. She was so surprised, they both went inside the house and she asked her why she came to the house unannounced and why she didn't call before coming.

Faith said that their mother had chased her out of the house and she didn't have anywhere to go. She asked Joy if she could stay at their place for a while until she gets herself sorted out and Joy agreed.

While they were talking Max walked into the house and was surprised to see Faith. Max talked to Joy but he was given a cold reply, because of the fight they had last night. So Max greeted Faith and went upstairs.

Joy went to the room and told him that she didn't know faith was coming and that if she had known she would have told him. Max said it was ok, that faith was family and it didn't matter.

Max apologized for what he said last night and Joy replied saying everything he said was entirely true and that she was sorry for not considering him. She said that the only thing she wants is to have her child. Max told her to calm down and that they are going to have their child when the time is right. After talking things through, Joy tore the sex calendar and said they should just have sex whenever they feel like it.

CHAPTER 3:The Doctor's Appointment

Joy had performed so many IVF in the past and this time she went to the hospital and the doctor told her that she didn't have enough eggs to produce a baby and there was nothing they could do for her anymore.

When Joy got home, Faith noticed something was wrong with her. She talked to her but there was no response. After so much persuasion, Joy told Faith what the doctor had said. Throughout the day Joy refused to eat anything.

Max got home but tried talking to Joy and she didn't answer him, she refused to tell Masx what the doctor had said.

Max went to work the next day and Faith came to Joy's room to give her food but she said she wasn't hungry. Faith asked, the doctor never said anything about her not being able to carry a child, and that the only problem was egg right? Is it because I told you about my problems or did I do anything wrong talking to you about it? Asked joy.

I didn't mean it like that, I just thought of something, I can give you my eggs so you can have your baby said, Faith. Joy refused at first, she asked what she was going to tell Max.

Max doesn't have to know about this arrangement answered faith and after so much persuasion joy ages.

The next day, Joy and Faith went to the doctor for the egg retrieval process and after some months Joy took in. Faith took care of Joy and Max so much, she cooked for them, did the laundry, and took care of the whole house. Faith didn't want Joy to pass through any stress at all because of her pregnancy.

CHAPTER 4: JOY

9 months later, Max and Joy were going out for a wedding when her water broke. Max rushed Joy to the hospital and she was sent to the labor room. Max was beginning to get worried because joy was taking so much, but luckily Faith and his colleague arrived and they managed to calm him down a bit.

After 20 to 30 mins the doctor came out to see them. Sir, we are happy to inform you that you have a very healthy boy, Max was so happy but he soon realized and asked for joy. We are very sorry sir, but she didn't make it. Max broke down immediately, he was speechless, and he couldn't eat for days. Joy's mother and Faith took care of the baby.

Faith walked into the kitchen to prepare food for Max. What are you doing? Asked joy's mother. Trying to prepare something for Max, he hasn't eaten for two days now, answered Faith.

Faith, your sister has not been buried and you're trying to steal her husband huh? This was your plan right, to kill her and take her place?

Mum, what do you mean? what did I ever do to you for you to hate me so much? Can't you see I would never do something like that to Joy, I cared about her. Said faith.

Don't you ever call me mum again, I am not your mother. Your mother caused me so much pain, she betrayed me. And you're trying to do the same thing she did to my daughter. Like mother like daughter, said joy mother.

I cared about Joy so much, I gave her my eggs so she could have a child and that is what she has always wanted. Which is more than you have ever done for her, answered Joy as she walked out of the kitchen angrily.

Max was at the door and heard everything, but Faith didn't care. Faith left the house that day and never came back.

Some weeks later Joy's mother also left the house and left everything for Max. Max had to hire a maid to him take care of the baby while he was at work.

CHAPTER 5: Found her

5 years after Joy's death Max kept looking for Faith, he had checked everywhere in Lagos but he still couldn't find her.

One evening he was driving and saw Faith walking on the street, he followed her and traced her down to where she was staying.

Max begged Faith to come back and take care of the baby that they have missed, but she refused and chased Max out of her house.

Max got home that night, the maid had gone home already and Steven was crying so much. Max tried everything he could but it was still not working. He called Faith and begged her to come, that he was helpless, Faith said she couldn't come but she was going to come first thing in the morning.

The next morning faith came. She moved into the house, but she stayed in the guest room. She started taking care of Steven and the house while Max went to work.

Max was headed to work one morning, he saw Faith feeding Steven, and greeted her, and as he was about leaving he kissed Faith leaving her shocked. He went outside and stood confused, he didn't even know he did it or why.

When he got back that day, he went to the faith room and knocked. And he talked to her about the kiss. Don't worry about it, I know you might have just seen joy in me, said Faith. No that's not it, this must be hard to believe but I love you faith answered Max.

What do you mean? You are my sister's husband, asked Faith.

I know how it sounds, I love you, I just can't explain why or how, answered Max.

Faith asked Max to leave her room that night and the next day when he checked her room, she was gone.

Max tried calling her for days and weeks, but she wasn't taking any of his calls. He then went to her house to look for her.

He arrived at Faith's house. I know you don't want to see me or even hear what I have to say but please hear me out.

I was promoted at work and I was assigned to London, I am pleading with you to come with me and Steven. I don't expect to get an answer right now, but I will be leaving in a week.

He left after so much persuasion.

Two days before when they were supposed to leave, Faith called Max saying the only way they would agree to this is if joy mother was in support.

Max invited joys mum to the house, faith came and the of them talked things through. Joy's mother gave them her blessings.
