Owl 🦉

A little girl called Lauren was running wild and free with some kids on her family farm. Her grandma always uses to say to her; do not go into the forest without me or Brown the dog. But the forest never scared Lauren. Actually, the forest was like a mysterious and interesting place. Although grandma said "no".

Continuing running with her friends on the farm, one of the kids said, "We should play in the house on the tree." Everyone agreed. The house was small, and was too many kids. Since that day, grandma and Lauren's mother decide to do a party for grandpa. All the kids were on the treehouse " ok, one more," " no, I will play with the toy." " no, I will be the mom." " no, I will be the dad." Everyone started to argue on that house tree. Lauren looked at that situation and thought, " well, I think I will visit the forest. This treehouse is too noisy."

Lauren left the kids fighting on that little tree house and run towards the forest. There was a river that used to separate the farm from the forest. The little girl took off her shoes and walked, crossing the river. Suddenly she was in the forest.

The peaceful silence. Birds were singing, animals sounds, the wind walking through the trees, the fresh air, life breathing on the girl's lungs. Lauren continued walking through the forest. She didn't even care anymore about the other kids arguing about fitting into a house. The girl was amazed by the wild of that beautiful Nature. But grandma's voice sounds on her head again," Lauren, do not go into the forest." Lauren looked back and saw a little piece of wood. The girl took the seat, and in that quiet, she started to admire Nature, simple and pure like its. Suddenly a white barn owl crossed the trees flying. She landed on a tree branch in front of Lauren. The wild animal, with deep eyes and beautiful wings, continued starring at Lauren. The girl was amazed by Nature's gestured, stopping by to say hi.

The barn owl continued for 5 minutes, looking gentle to the girl, like on admiration and curiosity about having contact with a human being. The girl was still, while the animal was curiously moving the head. It was the first time Lauren saw a wild animal in the forest. Then, the wind came, moving the branches, making the barn owl fly into the myst of the forest.

The girl stood and looked through the trees, but the animal was gone.

Suddenly, Lauren looked to the ground and saw a little feather that the barn owl left when she took flight. She took that feather in her hands and heard her grandma's voice in the middle of the forest " Laurennn!! Where are you? Lauren!".

Like the wild, she runs back, crosses the river, and hugs the comfortable embrace of grandma's arms. Grandma was about to get angry, but the lovely hug of the girl made her say," honey, I told you, you could not go into the forest, is too dangerous." Lauren excitedly showed her the feather. Grandma laughed and said, "I can't believe you saw a barn owl in the forest during the day." " I did and was such a cool thing, grandma. the wild of Nature, the animals, the forest is not dangerous." Grandma gently took the girl's hand, smiling. " Lauren, you still young, but soon you will learn that nature and forest, yes, are something beautiful, and you can go explore and walk around, but you still young, and I am afraid of letting you go walk alone in the wild."

They both followed back to the farm. Lauren was so happy with the feather, while grandma was trying to convince the girl not to go into the farm.

Grandma left Lauren's hands and said, " now you can go play with the kids on the treehouse, honey."

Lauren looked to that bunch of kids still fighting with each other on the little house that her grandpa builds for her. " Nah, I rather play by myself."

The girl walked to her room and took the diary. She put the feather on it and started to drawn the barn owl: deep black eyes, big wings, curiosity way, the wild animal of Nature.

On that day, Lauren realized that Nature was not dangerous. The forest was something incredible, full of energy and different animals.

The day was about to finish, and the girl and the kids were all around the table singing happy birthday to grandpa. Grandma, with a big cake full of candles, approached the table singing with everyone. After the party, Lauren said, " Grandma, I found a feather in the forest, a barn owl appeared and landed on a branch in front of me." grandpa happy said; this is so cool, we should go into the forest. I also want to see the barn owl. Grandma said, " you should not motivate her to go into the forest. You know the forest is something dangerous." Grandpa said, whispering, " I also saw a barn owl once, but you need to convince grandma to go into the forest also, so we all can see the barn owl." Lauren said, " grandma is right, the forest is dangerous, grandpa, I will keep my feather." Lauren took the feather and ran outside to play in the treehouse. The quiet little house on the tree. She walked and took a seat, but the view was straight to the forest, and Lauren was curious to see the barn owl. So she walked out of the house and run into the forest, she crossed the river, and suddenly, she was in the middle of the forest. The girl continued walking, and she could not see the animal, only the quiet of Nature. Lauren ran back before grandma and grandpa missed her presence. Every day Lauren runs into the forest, but the barn owl never shows up again. Tired of pursuing the barn owl, Lauren went to the treehouse to play by herself. She took her diary and put the feather on it. Grandma walked into the little treehouse and saw Lauren writing on her diary. She gentle took one of the little chairs and sat close to her " Lauren, you know, I think we should go into the forest. Maybe we can see the barn owl." Lauren smiled, and they both followed to the forest. Grandma was scared of the forest until she realized that the girl was right. The wild, the fresh air, and the pure Nature was something amazing. The girl and her grandma sat down on the piece of wood. Grandma wise and gentle said, Lauren, perhaps we will never see the barn owl again, but look how lucky you are, you have the feather, and the forest, with a lot of different animals, and there's nothing more amazing than the all Nature in your backyard.

On that day, grandma and Lauren walked through the mysterious forest, through the trees and flowers, the birds were singing in the sky, and they had a beautiful day in the forest. Then walking back, Lauren and grandma cooked a pie, and the day passed by, Lauren went to her room, opened her diary, while the wind was moving the papers, and she wrote, " Barn owl, the wild animals that nature brought with the wind." Suddenly the barn owl landed in the treehouse, looking at the girl who was sitting on her desk close to the window in front of the treehouse.

Lauren was amazed by the barn owl. that took fly again into the mysterious forest.

On the following morning, Lauren found two feathers on the ground, which she gave to her grandparents. They made a square with the feathers and put it in the living room. Lauren wrote a diary to the barn owl that used to fly in the treehouse once and a while.

"Nature reveals herself in the mysterious forest, the animals, the flowers, and life in the pure air. Where there is no danger in the wilderness of the wings of a barn owl."
