Cutis Mea
Take a look at my skin. The biggest organ that I own, that was made just for me. It is covered in pale lines, with starbursts along my shoulders, and down my arms. This skin is rippling with tiger stripes, and dimples that can fit thumbs. Pinch it, and the skin can turn a peachy pink. Bite it, and the indents of teeth leave ruby hues. Cold, it turns white and soon blue. Burnt and my skin is a painful red, raw. It can turn a red, coppery brown from gentle ease from the sun, darkening and changing.

I am confident in saying that Pride & Prejudice (sort of) is the best thing I will have seen all year (and I'm holding myself to that). If you are already confused and wondering "what Pride & Prejudice (sort of) is", well let me tell you! It is a hilariously smart and beautifully chaotic theatrical retelling of Pride & Prejudice (duh) by Jane Austen (double duh). Isobel McArthur, the writer and co-director, must be some sort of genius because before the show was even over my friend excitedly whispered to me that "this is exactly what Jane would've wanted!" (a play on something I've previously written... This is Not What Jane Wanted).

The Binding Of Isaac
The story of Abraham and Isaac is pretty bone-chilling in modern interpretation. To sum up the story, it goes like this: God pops into Abraham's head and says, "Go kill your son." Abraham makes arrangements to do so, and even lies to his kid to get him to go along. "God will provide the lamb," sounds like a great response until you realize that it implies Isaac has no idea what's about to happen. But Abraham isn't perfect, I guess, and largely is simply convinced that God demands a blood sacrifice of kin in violation of *checks notes* everything that Abraham believes up until this point. This is important. Learn to actually interpret stories holistically, but it'll come up later. I suppose to give the Islam faith credit, Abraham's son gives his consent to the whole ordeal (Ishmael, Isaac, whatever... different languages).
