Isn't It Bromantic?
Summer is the perfect time to kick back and relax with a good book. For me, summer reading has a different feel to it than winter reading. During the winter, I find myself getting cozy with a thrilling adventure or shocking mystery, but during the summer I want to sit by the pool with a nice steamy romance or daring drama. Beach reads, a popular subgenre of books designed to capture the ease of the summer spirit, are often a section of the bookstore that I overlook, but there was something about this book that caught my eye.

Doors (pt. 1)
When one door closes, another one opens. So goes the optimistic metaphor. I like it because I’m an optimist, and it’s simple. I don’t like it, because unfortunately for me it’s completely unrelatable. If I were to rewrite this saying to match my life experience it would go something like this:

Not One Bean On The Floor
I have written several stories about my childhood when my brother and I were in an organization called The Sea Cadets of America. To refresh, it was an organization run by adults but geared for children beginning with their ninth birthdays. How long you stayed in the organization was left to the decisions of the children and their parents. Most children didn’t stay past their sixteenth birthdays unless they planned on becoming part of the team of adults who ran the group.

Half Past Two
This morning I woke up. Again. As I always do. Eventually. Morning is a relative term as far as I’m concerned. Today, morning was around noon. And the first conscious thought I had that didn’t involve replaying the sporadic memories of a dream where I over-processed my hair and was now removing chunk after chunk, was wondering how long it would take to bleed out if I only cut through one of my wrists. This is a rather normal evolution I endure most “mornings”. Most people wouldn’t say that was normal. Most people would probably say normal involved something a little different. They might say normal was a full time job, a significant other, a family and a mortgage. Maybe a plan to go on vacation, a savings account and friends with similar interests.

Rising Need for Treated Water Augmenting Wood Vinegar Consumption
Wood vinegar or wood acid or pyroligneous acid is a dark liquid, which is derived from charcoal. It is obtained by heating biomass in a closed container. The smoke generated during charcoal production is cooled into a liquid and then separated into bio-oil, tar, and wood vinegar. The dark liquid is a combination of nearly 80–90% water and over 200 organic compounds, such as acetic acid, esters, formic acid, ketones, methanol, and phenol.

The Lost Scrolls of Nestor & Tinka 2022
Getting warmed up The first Sunday morning, one of our favorite age-old traditions is 'the song' with our friends The Dregs at 9:30 AM. Right before the song begins, we are playfully warming up our voices. Nestor sings, "mi mi mi," and it slowly becomes an ego-maniacal, "Me. Me. Me...Me!"

Meditation
Meditation) or #meditation practice is called "the inner circle" in the Buddhist tradition. By all accounts, meditators were better off on the spiritual path than non-meditator Buddhists who had nothing else to do with them (except perhaps a brief period of free time). And I suppose that happens when you go through it over and again during your life – one little thing turns into another giant step down towards mediocrity until eventually, everything has dropped out.
