humanity
For better or for worse, relationships reveal the core of the human condition.
Embrace Your Inner Goddess
Every day we wake up and are faced with choices. Every choice that we make has an outcome. Life is a lot like, a choose your own adventure book. When we make a choice our life takes us in different directions. If we decide to not make a choice, that is a choice in its self. Not deciding has its own set of consequences, but I will go into that a little bit later, without getting too far ahead of myself.

Who Does Your Happiness Depend On?
It is 10th of June 2017, 11:41 am as I’m sat on my bed, with my laptop on my thighs. The duvet’s covering my feet so I’m not too cold even though the window’s open; I’m usually cold, although I like feeling the soft pre-afternoon breeze that comes in through the open window.

Thinking Back I - Bullies
Do you remember the time in primary school, secondary or even college? The time when you felt like every morning you have to go to a Big Brother's house where everyone will be looking at you, judging, waiting for you to slip so they could eliminate you? Where everything was a reason for someone to take a piss out of you. The way you dress, music you like, your grades being too low or too high. Being a girl, hanging out with mainly boys in secondary school made you a slut, and it didn't matter whether you slept with every single one of them or were a virgin, you were still a slut. Being a boy and hanging out with girls either made a sex god or a wuss, it all depended on what other "sins" you've committed, gods forbid you had great grades and read a lot of books. Everything seemed to be a reason to spread rumours, call you names, laugh at you, shun you and even if you did do something great nobody ever cared.

Last Chance for a Slow Dance
They slipped away one by one as they town slept. The weak shadows cast by the glow of digital clocks were almost invisible as they first flexed and stretched, straining to reach a wall or the leg of a dresser. The deeper, more defined shadows created by the lights lining the streets of Pine Grove twisted away from their owners easily, almost rising from the floor as the dashed down stairs and along empty hallways.

Days with Fleas in My Ears
We had a peculiar neighbour. When I say peculiar, it goes to such an extent where I used to run away from his peculiarity of sustained high-pitched tone of whining. He has something or the other always to clutch at. Either it is about the other neighbour's black cat every morning he looks at first when he opens his main door, or about the darned nuisance created by the songbirds or the cock crows waking him up early morning. He even complains about the owls blasting in and fracturing his silent nights with their unholy hoots, invariably followed by a proverbial death news the following day.

Lost Identity
Some people have said to me that I have Sofia Vergara's accent and Kim Kardashian's exotic looks. It's easy for people to approach me, as I have a constant smile on my face, except when I'm "randomly checked" at the airport and being shoved aside like a criminal. But other than that regardless of my looks I'm someone who is a magnet to others. And I still don't know the reason for such an unexplainable reaction.

How Abusive Relationships Change Our Self-Esteem
My longest relationship without pause lasted two and a half years. Some people will scoff and say, "bah, that's nothing. I've spent 20 years with my partner!" Well, at the time it was a feat for me. I had long ago written myself off as one of those unfortunate souls who just couldn't keep a relationship going, so I did everything in my power to keep my partner happy and engaged. I had no idea, however...even though I found myself in tears more than I smiled, frustrated more often than calm, and feeling utterly helpless at times...that I was being abused.
