Soulmates

His life was a chaotic mess, and hers, a series of unfortunate events.

Though in between those moment, they longed for a love, that could not be seen, or heard...but felt by every inch of their soul.

Amongst the chaos of their lives, there was no room for them to search for each other.

So they left it to fate.

Until one day...they finally met.

He saw her from afar, walking in the park...

She was like a beautiful red rose amongst a secret garden.

At that moment, he suddenly knew, they had met before.

But not in this life. In a life before. Where he had saved her before she could save herself.

So he approached her with a warm, reassuring smile.

She blushed, smiled back, and was pulled in by his magnetic vibe.

He slowly took her hand, held it tight, and led her further down the park... to where they would have their first date.

She hadn’t known where he was taking her, and they hadn’t even spoken a word yet.

All she knew, was that the place he was taking her, would be a paradise away from all that she had left behind.

So in the middle of the night, he led her to their first date.

As they came closer to their destination, he suddenly stopped her and gently covered her eyes with a satin black cloth.

At this point, they still hadn’t spoken a word. But she felt his warmth through his masculine scent.

They continued to walk until his hand gently stopped her from walking any further.

As she stood and waited patiently for him, she heard a sweet chime of two wine glasses, gently tapping each other. As if they had created the same sound, of the tension between them.

As he finished preparing the romance of their first date, he came back closer to her and gently held her hand once again- making sure she felt safe.

He sat her down, on what felt like a vintage wooden chair. Still keeping the black satin cloth around her eyes.

And suddenly, he began to gently kiss her neck.

She breathed in heavily, and with each kiss, inhaled the soft, sensual smell of Merlot that he had prepared.

He suddenly took the satin cloth off her eyes and she realized she was amongst a beautiful forest with fairy lights.

She got up from her chair and started to walk around and embraced the beauty around her. It was as if she was in a fairytale, and it was nothing like she had seen before.

She said to him “this place is so beautiful, so romantic. I’ve never been on this kind of date before”.

But then she said, "how did you know to prepare this for tonight?".

He said, "I hadn't known. But I had once found a secret spot amongst the forest. I hid a bottle of Merlot, in case we had ever met".

As they both sat back down, they gently picked up their wine glasses.

Whilst staring into each other's eyes, they slowly drank their deep red glass of Merlot... tasting the darkness of the chocolate and the plum.

It was as if they were drinking the depths of each other’s souls.

They gently placed their glasses onto the table. He took her hands, held them tight, and said “you are the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen”.

She smiled and said, “I’ve never felt so safe in someone’s presence”.

So he got up from his chair, picked her up, and gently placed her onto the ground.

He then gently held her head against his chest...and they slowly began to dance.

There wasn’t any music in the background. So he swayed to the music of their heart beating against each other.

She followed his lead and continued to lay her head against his chest, as he swayed her body from side to side.

It was then and there- that she decided to give him her whole heart.

He then suddenly stopped their romantic dance, gently grabbed her face and, kissed her with every inch of his passionate soul.

And in the middle of their heated kiss, he stopped, held her beautiful face, and said “where have you been all my life?”.

She said, “I’ve been waiting for you to find me”.

He said, “I’m here now and I’m never letting you go”.
