Sacked..? What next?

At this point, it’s where many people lose traction.

Just as the saying goes, when misfortune comes it does not come alone. The day you are sacked, it's the day your mom gets sick and it's the very day your AC needs a repair.

Nothing will make you as desperate as moving from CEO to jobless. After being crowned the title “Jobless” ... you will step down so low to the extent of doing whatever comes your way no matter the wage. At this point, you’ve got nothing like tastes or preferences. You just have to accept anything anyone has to offer as long as it can help you turn over to the next day.

That’s when you realize that the friends you had were there only to make the hangouts more fun.

After learning that you are deserted, things move from terrible to horrible.

What a roller coaster of feelings...!!!

When you reach this point, you can longer show up at parties, no more hangouts. They are soaked in self-pity and the only companion you have is the “bottle”. These are what I call the baby steps to getting wasted.

I once asked a question on quora. “Is it ok to be broke and single ?”. I wanted to contrast each and everyone’s view with my perspective. I felt like I was drinking directly from the pot. I got what I expected.

Many told me that it's very Ok .since you can’t manage yourself, how can put food on the table for a family. One Gentleman told me that both being broke and single ain’t ok. And he was also right. But in my perspective, being single and broke ain’t ok. Each of the two is already too much a normal person can handle. You would rather live without cash but have a comforter.

Or maybe you live with cash without a comforter. But housing both problems is lethal. All in all, the wise solution is fighting to avoid both.

If you are depressed after getting broke, there is a high chance of making a fatal decision in a bid of getting out of your then-current situation. Hoping and believing isn’t aren’t an option but again being too desperate will eat you up as cancer does. One cell kills another cell. With being desperate, you will react to everything so fast hence expect high chances of failure in most of the actions you take. One failure will kill the hopes of success for the next move.

After numerous failures, you will feel more broke both financially and emotionally. Again, your most trusted companion is your bottle. At that point, One glass isn’t enough. Two ain’t. Maybe sitting close to the counter is the best option. These are what I call the baby steps to getting wasted...!!!! Once a hero. At that point, you no longer feel ashamed. You are shame itself. All you can do is try to prove to everyone that you can go back to your days of glory.

The more you try, the more you fail. Whatever you do, the last question that pops up is “what went wrong ?”.

When you’ve got to that point, all you can do is mark yourself either a knight or a fighter

Can you spot the difference between a fighter and a knight ? ... A fighter wins wars, A knight lays his life down for the safety of the castle. Before he is sure that the castle is safe, he won’t settle. Now you’ve got to fight like a knight. Don’t aim at proving anything to anyone.

Even when you are walking, if you don’t leave one foot behind, the other foot won’t go in front. Let go of the past. You might have gone wrong somewhere but your dreams are not stitched to what happened.

The way you respond to your current situation of being broke determines whether you are going to get a breakthrough, or you remain broke for more 4-15 years.

Hope, Believe, Pray. No condition lasts a lifetime.

As always, I love you 🍎❤️
