Sixth National Writers Conference

The 6th National Ahl-e-Qalam Conference 2021 was organized in Al-Hamra Hall No. 2 for the promotion of children's literature under the auspices of Academy of Children's Literature, the most popular children's magazine Flower, Punjab Local Government Department and Lahore Al-Hamra Arts Council. It is a great honor for me to participate in this. The conference started with the recitation of Holy Quran and Naat Rasool Maqbool. The conference was directed by Shoaib Mirza, Editor of Monthly Phol and President of Pakistan Children's Magazine Society. Ms. Bushra Rehman, a novelist, poet and former member of the National Assembly.

By the way, the land of Lahore is very fertile in terms of literature. For the promotion of Urdu literature, poetry recitals, literary fairs and book fairs are organized here from time to time.

Fortunately, Shoaib Mirza is continuously organizing a conference at the national level every year for the creation and promotion of quality children's literature. And this was the sixth conference which had three sessions in which children from all over the country The writers and authors who created the standard literature of expressed their views in their own way.

Adviser to the Chief Minister, Special Assistant to Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar Sahib and Spokesperson Hassan Khawar in his presidential address praised the performance of the Department of Urdu and the President of the Department of Children's Literature with reference to children's literature, and all the guests especially distant Thanking the special guests and essayists who came from India, he said, "If we want our children to be intelligent, they should be told a story and if we want to be intelligent, we should be told more stories."

Dr. Fazilat Bano, referring to contemporary children's literature, said that like Food Street, we should establish Book Street. Children's literature should be uploaded on the sites, interesting audio and video clips should be prepared. Continuing his keynote address, he said that today's children's writers and poets must meet the needs of today's children. Keep in mind, try to create a scientific approach in them, through your writings to eradicate superstition, racism, sexual inequality and various diseases of society. Encourage, try to create brotherhood, mutual help and love, prepare content on real topics with complete sincerity. Today's child has become very conscious, knows how to ask questions, seeks clarification of everything. In your writings, keep in mind the present abilities of the children, then they will be attracted towards you, otherwise your writings will continue to haunt you, cultivate in them a feeling of enthusiasm and courage, so that they To be a true capital of the country and the nation, to revive the children's circle in homes and families, so that they can be trained collectively.
