In this pandemic, and probably every pandemic since the beginning of time, brings out the best and worst in people. Every where we look is panic buying, fighting over food and of course the good ol' TP, aka toilet paper. however, I, like the rest of you have no idea what makes people connect this pandemic and its symptom's to the need of having excessive amount of TP. As one person said it don't give you the sh*ts. But then again, there are a lot of people so full off it. But unfortunately, in these types of events, people become selfish, but not in the way you think. The people whom are selfish are the ones whom take no notice of the rules and regulations put in place, those whom are so so stupid and believe they can't get covid 19. These people, for instance, take Melbourne for example, it's been found one in four people who either tested positive, have symptom's, told to self-isolate and wait on test results, were not at home when authorities checked in on them and some of them had gone to went to work, which then made it that each of those work places were shut down, everyone sent home for two week mandatory isolation and the workplaces thoroughly deep cleaned. So basically for a maximum of a few days works, these people have shut down their own workplace down. Imagine, then, eventually when these people do go back to work, how much their going to cop from everyone at work. That is if their workplace ever re-opens. I'm pretty sure, though these worker's will be the first to be let go in the event of a re-structure, or down sizing at the business. They should have thought about that fact before doing what they did, however the fact still remains, it is one of the most selfish acts to do at a time like this. And because of these few, everyone has to suffer more and for longer, and if your one of the few, who couldn't do the right thing, the harsh but true reality is you are one of the reason's stage four has had to come into effect.

Stock-piling isn't helpful to the wider community, but it is helpful to your family and especially after the virtually no notice the government gave when they lock down three housing apartment buildings and no one could go in or out, police were manning the hall ways to keep everyone in who lived there and everyone else out. And home food deliveries were limited and fairly well un available according to the some of the residents along with a heap of other unhelpful things like that. So if some, or not all residents had stockpiles of their basic food needs, milk and nappies for babies and very important medicines it would have been a tad easier and not so stress full. This very specific situation basically re-enforced the need and pushed people back into panic buying, even though, it was constantly being said not too and that there is plenty to go round, good in theory, but in practice, not so much. Why? because even with plenty to go round, if you can't go buy it or have it delivered, like in the Melbourne housing apartment blocks, what good is it. As a parent, at the end of the day it's my job to ensure we have enough to eat and have enough medicines on hand to last a while. And no one else's, and if buying in bulk is what is needed then it's needed. However, you still need to be mindful of the other people in the community, the elderly and disabled for instance, and take into account their needs, which I know may seem odd, given you need to provide for your family first and foremost and buying in bulk is vital in some situations. But try the best you can to take what you need for up to two weeks at a time. But you really don't need anymore really than that at a time.

However, on the other side is the self less people, we all need to be more like the self less people, these are people whom have stayed home as much as earthly possible. Who want to actually help get this over with, who even go as far as vaccine trials. Not saying you need to go as far as that if you can't or don't want too. who share their excess supplies should there be a person in need. who help raise funds for research, and or donate to the cause. At least do the minimum that they do and at the very least you can and stay home, watch Netflix, garden something, anything at all but what ever you do, STAY home and be self less please. Be one of the many of the world's super hero's and STAY home. There are heaps of articles and books to read, games on and offline to play. You can use this time to get all that extra cleaning up done. Get all those odd jobs you have not had the time to do because of work and all the other commitments you have had to fill. Actually spend quality time with the kids if you have them, make up games for them and let your inner child come out and enjoy, the best you can the opportunity for family time while you have it. And yes I know, it can be extremely draining with kids at home, especially while they are so little, but try your best to make it as enjoyable as possible. Shut the news off as much as possible, it can make everything so depressing and deflating. Yes, you need to keep up with what's going on in the outside world, but don't obsess on it. Doing so helps no one, even more so, you and your family.
