Getting your foot in the door of your first ever property, seems virtually impossible, so up in the air. And even more so given the times we are now living in. But in the event you feel so locked out of the market, like your never ever going to get there. Here is my personal story to prove it is always possible to make it. Even in a pandemic and even as big as it is right now. This is temporary, the pandemic that is, it won't last for ever. Just like being pregnant and breastfeeding and not being able to sleep through the night. When your over being pregnant and still have another fifteen to twenty weeks to go, and a day feels like a week. Your so big, ankles are massive, your back is killing you and you can't move very much and you just can't wait for it to end. But excitement kicks in as soon as the doctor says we are going to induce you in a week if you haven't gone into labor by Friday morning. Thursday afternoon comes, your all booked in for Friday morning. Thursday night you can't sleep not just because of the huge tummy or sore back but because finally it's going to be over, it's ending and your finally going to meet, hold the most important little being in your life apart from your partner or hubby. Your induced, things are finally happening, the pain kicks in more and more. Some of the excitement turns into from time to time stress and worry. What if? What if this or that happens and a c section is needed. Then the end arrive and turns into pure joy and love, love you never knew existed before today, disbelief, relief and full blown excitement. He's the most perfect little being you have ever seen.

Do what has the scenario above got anything to do with houses and buying them? The buying process can be just as full on as buying a home. There is the excitement, stress sometimes and of course the big what if's. But there is hope for those who feel that with major cities forever increasing prices that there is no hope, but believe me, there is far more than hope. But your little peace of paradise, might for the time being be gotten well out of the city it might actually be in the country or even in an outback town to start with. In some small towns and even some slightly bigger ones, are properties going for next to nothing. Some, like the one I got, is a 4br house on a large block that is $30,000. Yes I'll have to put in some work, well a lot of work and love and care. And a some money of course. But once you have a property like this you also have time and a lot of it to fix it up and make it available for rent or even live in it or even both.

I have the option to add another house, possibly a tiny house on it. As for money, I didn't have to get a loan for it and it was put on a two year payment plan. Why? Because I did this with no savings. A credit history that is in the toilet that is still going to take another three to five years to fix and there is no way I would have been able to obtain the finance to buy and fix it up. And even better is the fact at the end of the day I own it, not the bank. Sure I'll have to do it a bit tough for two or so years. But at the end of the day I own it. And no one and I mean no one can take it away from me. And I'm loving that fact.

So why am I telling the world this, because you can do it too. There are blocks available for as little as $5000 and you could build a house on it, you could put a granny flat or something on it for a short time or even a donga to live in should you choose. You could even put two houses or units on these very large blocks and rent one or both out should you want and just retire there when you want out of the city. The options are endless. Some sellers will also do rent to own, in fact there is an agency that is solely committed and dedicated to making rent to own an option for everyone. Yes they require a deposit. But you and you alone get to judge as to weather or not you can afford it. How cool is that. Buying knowing that you don't have to worry about having to obtain finance. Having to have the condition on it that the sale is subject to financial approval. Takes a lot of stress out of the whole process. And there are properties right now, available in almost every state and territory. All you have to do is think and research all your options that are not on the traditional lists of buying a place to call your own. This can even be done if your on income support and be done right now should you choose.

So before you think that you have no options, think again, think outside traditional agency buying. Take advantage of the government grants available. And do your research. Get to know what is really available real estate wise. The methods actually available to buy. Even caravan parks often sell permanent resident places. You can paint and decorate it and do as you please within the park rules till your hearts content. Go forward and look, open to your eye's to the real possibilities available to you and your family. You'll be quite pleasantly surprised. And now you can head full steam ahead in obtaining your very own place, regardless of your financial situation and where/ how low an income you have, so long as you can afford to pay for it, your all good to go.
