WHEN IT FIRST STARTED:

There was no problem when Shaylynnah meet Shawn at the Hess Express two years ago. Matter of fact, within the first two years of the relationship she thought they have bonded stronger than ever, and to think about it in her mind that made her happier than ever. Shawn was a foreigner to the United States of America and Shaylynnah was a traveler, no one place was her permanent home. Fixated on Shawn being the one and only. So, when it came too renting to own a huge five-bedroom house with a basement and attic; large backyard a garage for one vehicle, A wooden broken-down fence that had faded white paint on it, plus it wrapped around the whole back of the house. It was easy for Shaylynnah to say, “this house is ‘Ours’!”. Looking into Shawn’s hazel brown eyes, assured she would never be alone again.

Could it be that she is deeply in love? or, is it that saying when the guy pops your ‘Cherrie’? that has her feeling lite. Either way Shaylynnah was committing to sharing the rest of her life from now on. Being royal, loyal, Ryde/Dye shaylynnah wanted badly to own those wings, “being grown” wings. She did not know growing up alone would not teach her much of what she wanted to know because she did not have parents that were supposed to had taught her. On the other hand, Shaylynnah kept in mind her accomplishment was something to be proud about. Proud of owning her very own house was any young person’s dream.

Everyday Shawn would go out and hustle in this country old town to make money; where they lived, he had nothing else to do with himself. He felt like he had something to prove to the world out there running the streets. While Shaylynnah attended college, her freshman year, and going to work. On top of maintaining a trade that also brought in a revenue. Shaylynnah thought at this point they both were on a good path. Even though Shawn thought as if Shaylynnah was too good for him. Shawn was her first boyfriend and did not know that Shaylynnah was a virgin and hopefully she did not have to tell him.

Standing on this secret made her guts twist in knots. Sometimes left feeling like their hook up was all wrong. Especially while Shawn already having children, irked Shaylynnah more than none. She stayed focused cause she wanted nothing more than to be with Shawn no matter what. Being brought up in a broken home did not help Shaylynnah with functioning relationships or how it worked. It was much harder not knowing how to express her secret to come clean. Thinking about her confusing upbringing, maybe this is the cause for how often they have been fighting. As well with Shawn not coming home lately. Shaylynnah she is recognizing more naiveness within herself, but she is no dummy. Shaylynnah knew she were very smart at the mouth even more so with her brains, could no one person touch her alone; she was bad, and sooner or later her boyfriend Shawn is about to find out how smart his lady really is.

It was the starting of summertime 2009, one day Shaylynnah at work, deciding to take her lunch break at home. Very uneasy with the last week that Shawn and she been dealing with, she felt like eating home cook spaghetti with a large brisk Iced Tea on the side. After eating Shaylynnah found herself falling asleep, drifting into a vivid dream after getting comfortable on her soft material couch in her living room. Still with 45 minutes left on break she closes her eyes, seeing pictures of her hometown in her mind as she fades. it just seems as if something is holding her back or, again could it be just her. Barley making it back down the street to work on time from her break. Stagnated on the weird dream she had. As if she were a ghost seeing herself from the ceiling like a spirit with Shawn, but a crying baby on the side of the bed that seems, as Shawn were hiding it under a bunch of sheets.

As a Debt Collector Shaylynnah had to use various functions of screens and pitches used for her clients. Normally she would make about 1200 calls at the start of her shift. Then at the beginning of the second half she would take about 800 inbound calls. Giving Shaylynnah the top ranking of being a top achieving collector. This time she could not get back into the habitual routine she would normally conduct at this time of her shift. This time is her best part of the day, not today, Shaylynnah thinks that dream was a hint to beware of Shawn, what could that warning be ?
