What is Rejection ?

Rejection is the act of pushing someone or something away.

It can be an emotional response to a situation, or it can be a physical act. Rejection can be done consciously or unconsciously.

Rejections are part of life. At some point, you are going to get rejected by those you desire and you will not always have a fair shot in the competition.

Famous Personalities who gracefully handled Rejection

1. J.K. Rowling

J.K. Rowling was dismissed from Amnesty International in London because she would write stories on her work computer all day.

2. Oprah

Oprah got fired, before becoming an American talk show host and television producer, because she couldn't keep her emotions in check.

3. Bill Gates

Bill Gates dropped out of Harvard and started a business with Paul Allen called Traf-O-Data.

Unfortunately, the business didn't do well and they had to shut it down.

However, they didn't give up and decided to try again. This time, they founded Microsoft, which was a huge success.

4. Albert Einstein

Einstein was a late talker and didn't learn to read until he was age seven.

He got kicked out of school and wasn't allowed into the Zurich Polytechnic School. But he eventually figured it out.

5. Isaac Newton

Newton was great at math, but not so much in other subjects.

He never did well in school and when he had to run the family farm, he failed.

That's when he was sent to Cambridge and the rest is history.

6. Vincent Van Gogh

It's really crazy to think about how Van Gogh was hardly ever recognized for his work while he was alive.

He only sold one painting during his lifetime, and that was to a friend for a super cheap price.

Despite this, he kept working throughout his life and never saw success himself, even though his paintings are now worth hundreds of millions of dollars.

7. Abraham Lincoln

Lincoln tried to start a bunch of businesses before he became President, but they all failed.

He also lost several runs for public office before he eventually became President.

As for relationships, here are a few things to realize in understanding and reframing rejection:

1. Rejection is Normal

Everyone experiences rejection at some point in their lives. It is a normal and common experience.

Rejection can occur in many different areas of life, such as in relationships, friendships, work, or other areas.

Rejection can be difficult to deal with and can often lead to feelings of sadness, anger, or low self-esteem.

However, it is important to remember that rejections are a normal part of life and that everyone experiences them.

2. Understand the Reason

The first way is to try and understand why you were rejected.

This can be difficult, but it is important to try and figure out why the other person didn't want to be with you.

Once you know why, you can work on fixing that issue.

The best way to understand the reason behind a rejection is to ask the person who rejected you.

This can be difficult, but it can give you closure and help you move on.

It can also help you learn from your mistakes so that you don't make them again in the future.

If the person who rejected you is not willing to talk to you, try to look at the situation objectively and see if you can figure out what you did wrong.

Learn from it. Use the rejection as a learning experience and try to grow from it.

Don't let it hold you back, but instead use it as motivation to improve yourself.

There are many reasons why someone may reject you, and it is important to remember that it is not personal.

Don't take it personally. Rejection should not be taken as a personal reflection of your worth.

There are many factors that go into why someone may reject you, so tried not to let it blow your self-esteem.

3. Accept the Rejection

Another way to deal with rejection is to accept it.

This can be hard to do, but it is important to remember that not everyone is going to want to be with you.

It doesn't mean that there is anything wrong with you, it is just the way that things are.

Rejection is a difficult thing to deal with, but there are ways to help make the process easier.

First, realize that the person who rejected you is not saying that you are a bad person, they are just saying that you are not what they are looking for.

Second, try to look at rejection as an opportunity.

It can be an opportunity to learn more about yourself and what you want.

It can be an opportunity to find something/someone even better.

Remember: NO = Next Opportunity

Finally, don't hesitate to ask your friends and family for support if you need it. They can help you through this difficult time.

4. Move on

The last way to deal with rejection is to move on.

This can be the hardest thing to do, but it is important to remember that there are plenty of other people in the world.

Just because one person doesn't want to be with you, doesn't mean that you will never find someone who does.

It's tough to get over being rejected, but it's important to realize that it's not a reflection of your worth as a person.

Don't dwell on it. It is important to not get stuck in the muck of rejection and to move on.

Don't let the rejection define you or what you came here to do.

Find ways to remain positive despite the rejection.

Remember that you are worthy and that you will find someone who appreciates you for who you are.

Don't worry, everyone feels the fear of rejection at some point. It's natural. Just remember that it's different from the fear of failure.

Failure is when you don't try at all. Rejection is when you put yourself out there and don't get the response you wanted. But it's not the end of the world!

Use it as an opportunity to learn and grow, and never allow it to dim your glow.
