Healing Mental Illness

It is something that effects us all.

In order to truly implement change, we must start in our own community, and branch out. The population of those who suffer from mental illness is growing, and will continue to do so until it is truly recognized as an issue that is in dire need of help. I implore you to take action in this regard, so those who do in fact suffer from mental illness, whether it be something such as depression, or something like schizophrenia, or autism, we all suffer from to some extent. I firmly believe that mental illness is not an isolated incident that only a percentage of the population suffer from, it is something that is spurred on by drug use, abuse, neglect, violence, and all sorts of things which fragment the mind and cause people to develop what are very often, unhealthy coping mechanisms.

Substance abuse in many occurrences, is a coping mechanism that people develop to numb themselves to the pain that they would rather not deal with, instead of taking a positive outlook towards pain, whether it be from the past or the present. Ignite the warrior inside you, and see the obstacles in your life as a challenge to be overcome, do not allow them to overcome you.

The eradication of mental illness is not something that will take place over night, but it is something that we can start truly working on healing, so it does not become a systemic problem that is seen as normal human behavior, we must take action at the root of the problem, instead of treating the symptoms, we must treat the illness, and learn to truly heal this epidemic.

Neurofeedback training is one such method that I have used, which has substantially helped my own mental health in profound ways, and it is not something that should have a price tag on it. Imagine if your loved one suffered from a profoundly debilitating form of mental illness, and you wanted so badly to help them, but could not afford it. Money should not be an obstacle in healing, healing should be a desire of every human on this planet. We must truly help each other heal, and not allow the corruption of greed to come into the picture, because in so doing, it's all for not.

We live in a world that is run by profit, instead of purity, and this is something that needs to change, if we are ever to be a race, that is truly unified and progressive, we must take the time, to treat these issues, with the seriousness that they deserve, and not turn a blind eye to the suffering of others. I watched my late wife struggle with severe mental illness for 11 years, and at that time it took every ounce of energy I had to keep her in a stable state of mental health, which I was not always successful at. In order for mental illness to be healed, the entirety of the person who is suffering must be healed, and the healing must take place at the root of who that person is.

We cant get to the next step in our existence until we truly learn to work together as a cohesively bound people, we must unite in our endeavors, and help one another to be better tomorrow than we were yesterday. If we do not take a stand against the evil that is so prevalent in this world, it will take over, and when that happens, we will have lost the battle for certain. Do not assume that just because something is not directly affecting you, that it wont at some point have an impact on your life, we are one big human family, lets start to act like it.

Lets end suffering together, in whatever form it may come.

Brightest Blessings
