Gossip is Dangerous..

Gossip is dangerous and let me tell you why.. How many times have you heard this, that and the other about a person, then met that person and realised that the person wasn't so bad after all?! The gossip that you heard about that person was not true! In fact the gossip was so far away from the truth that it was actually quite unbelievable! I'm sure we've all been in that situation, where a part of our brain believed the gossip and found out just how wrong that gossip was, often the gossip was complete fiction. This is where gossip becomes dangerous.

But there are people out there who love nothing better than to gossip, talk nonsense, spread lies. We all know a gossip, right?! The kind of person who needs gossip and drama in their life as much as they need air and oxygen! These people literally get a kick out of it, they get enjoyment out of it. To them passing on gossip, within their eyes, is like giving someone a gift, with a big pink bow attached to it!!

The gossip will start with person number one, the nucleus of the gossip, talking about, for example, about the colour ‘red’ and by the time the gossip gets to person number 10, they'll be talking about the colour ‘green.’ You see what I'm saying?! People will add a little bit, take away a little bit, throw in some more drama, to make the gossip all the more exciting!! This is where gossip is poisonous. As what more than likely started as mostly a complete lie, becomes fictitious b*llsh*t!!

I believe that we should not believe anything about anyone unless we hear it from that person, one on one. Never, ever believe gossip. If someone speaks to me in confidence then what they tell me will stay with me forever. I would never repeat their private business, what they told me in private, as it is their business and I have no right to repeat that and I have no right to break a person's trust in me. That is why people confide in me, because they trust me.

So why do some people gossip? I will tell you why, it is because they are so unhappy within themselves, it makes them feel important to pass on gossip and it takes away the attention from their own miserable existence. Think about it, if you are completely happy and content in your own life, getting on with your own business, then you feel no need to put hurt or anger upon anybody. So feel sorry for the gossips of this world, wish them well, wish them happiness, because my gosh, they need it!

I just can't stand gossip! I hate it! I detest it! I don't understand why anyone gets enjoyment from it! Whenever I hear a piece of gossip I really don't think twice about it, as most of the time it is lies, or maybe a tiny percentage of it is true! I use my own mind, I make my own opinions, on everything. God gave me a mind and I use it! That is what we all need to do, we need to use our own minds!! Make your own judgements on everything. Next time you hear a piece of gossip question it, tell yourself and the person who said it, that what you've heard is most of the time untrue. Then get on with your day by doing and saying stuff which generally matter! Talking gossip and lies is not good for anybody or anything.
