ELON MUSK

Elon Musk is a South African-born American entrepreneur and business magnate. He is the founder, CEO, and chief engineer/designer of SpaceX; early investor, CEO, and product architect of Tesla, Inc.; founder of The Boring Company; and co-founder of Neuralink and OpenAI. He was also co-founder and initial co-chairman of OpenAI. Musk is known for his ambitious goals to reduce global warming and help make humanity a multi-planetary species through his companies. He is also known for his high-profile public statements and controversial actions.

Musk began his career in the tech industry, co-founding web software company Zip2 in 1995, which was later sold to Compaq for almost $300 million. He then founded X.com, an online payment company, which later became PayPal and was sold to eBay for $1.5 billion.

In 2002, Musk founded SpaceX with the goal of reducing space transportation costs and enabling the colonization of Mars. SpaceX has since developed the Falcon 1 and Falcon 9 launch vehicles, both designed to be reusable.
