Order just in time for May the 4th...

Being a sucker for all things adorable, I immediately fell in love with… borderline obsessed over Baby Yoda. While his merch popularity seemed to peak mid-quarantine with millions of people buying plushies for the comfort of a COVID cuddle – I literally stopped mid-scroll when I discovered this Baby Yoda nightlight sandwiched in between puppy porn pics on my Instagram feed.

Being the perennial, procrastinating writer, I was in dire need of something to change the Feng Shui on my desk. Who better than a 50-year-old known as The Child -- on the Mandalorian with special healing powers to brighten up my dark nights and protect my creative force-field as I hammer out seemingly endless scenes involving the haunted Merina Clan of ancient Madagascar?

After a few clicks, there I was -- staring at the Amazon website wondering if this purchase would leave me feeling as if I threw hard-earned EDD money in the street? And then -- the dopamine kicked in when I noticed the familiar yellow checkmark next to the blue word Prime, which we all know means FREE, 1-day delivery. #heretoday #shesgottahaveit #buynow

So, for $19.99, I took the plunge like an impulse purchase of the hottest cryptocurrency I’ve never heard of and ordered this item… pronto.

Within 24-hours, I received a small cardboard box containing a 3-D acrylic version of Baby Yoda covered by a thin piece of brown, easy to peel-off paper to protect it from scratching. I inserted it into a thin slot inside the black, battery-operated base -- also powered by a lightning cable, included with the shipment, that fits perfectly into the USB port of your laptop or cellphone plug. Too excited to wait until dark, I powered up The Child right away. Much to my surprise, this 8-inch, plexiglass Star Wars Master emanated brightly, dissolving through all seven colors of the rainbow. There was an immediate calming feeling to my office space as this light, imported by MichPong from China, silently sent out good vibes. The online Amazon community rated the Baby Yoda nightlight with 4.5 stars, but I must say it deserves a solid 5 for being better than I ever anticipated.

This item is a great replacement for candles that are often dangerously left burning unattended into the night. You can leave this item plugged in for days without the worry..."Did I blow it out?"

The lightweight base makes it easily transported from room to room and blends in with a myriad of home decors. The on/off icon located in the middle of the base has three settings to create an ambiance to match your mood ranging from the sweeping epic vibes of John Williams’ Star Wars soundtrack to a pulsating strobe effect for your favorite 80’s dance music… “Don’t you want me... baby, don’t you want me… ohhhh.” Yes, you do!!

As trends come and go, the Star Wars franchise has maintained its popularity since its inception making this low-cost, high-reward niche item a risk worth taking and a bargain that won't go out of style anytime this millennium or until the power grid crashes. Whether you believe Baby Yoda’s creation to be a Disney marketing ploy or the love child of Yoda and Yaddle, who both ruled on the Jedi council together, this item poses to be the perfect gift to add a cozy and calming presence to your life or your favorite Star Wars fan-boy/girl/them. While most ads continue to annoy us interrupting the flow as we scroll through posts on our favorite social media sites like Instagram and TikTok, every so often -- a gem like the Baby Yoda nightlight reminds us that it’s okay to indulge the impulse to light up your life.
